  • @katejo, thank you, today is just a how far up S!!! creek I am, no cure for me, I'm just very grateful for some of the nurses, I'd be still waiting if I hadn't managed to get hold of the clinic nurse who has done more for me in 1 call than registrars for the consultant. Just hopeful it's not all doom.

A small success! -1/2 lb but also the lowest weight on a weigh day since the start. Now 11 st 11 1/2. I did get down to 11 st 11 briefly in July but went back up before weigh day. Perhaps I should switch to kilos? I check both each time and notice a metric improvement before an imperial one. Now 75.3.
    Regarding metric or imperial -
My bathroom scales give me the amount in kilos (to one decimal place) and I then convert to pounds.
Because we report in half or full units (kilos or pounds), it makes sense to continue with the pounds as that will provide greater movement from one weigh-in to the next.  You will know there's a reduction (because of the tenths of a kilo reduction) but that doesn't amount to so much in terms of pounds.

I have no idea whether the above makes any sense to anyone else - but it does to me!

So I'm sticking with reporting in pounds on here but keeping the kilo figures for myself to see.

I have 2 sets of scales, 1 measuring metric and 1 imperial. I just find that the metric indicates a small improvement, perhaps 0.2 Kilos while the imperial needs a bigger reduction to show anything. It's just encouraging to see the small difference. It was only really a rhetorical question above.  :)

Lunch - salad made from grated carrot, avocado, tuna, bit of mayo and some gherkins. It was better than it sounds!

Tea - chicken tikka and chips at the football.

Still a better day food wise than the year leading up to it!

  • STS for me. Which is Ok given I have been out for dinner a few times.
  • Hi everyone! New to this group but in a dilemma as my Slimming World group is closing. I have lost 1 1/2 stone in a year and need ro lose the same again for target.
Wondering whether to post here 'to be accountable' as don't really want to drive further afield to a different group.
Weighed last week and had lost 2 1/2 lb which was gained the week before, so I am back at Club 10.
Last night I made chicken, mushrooms, peas and onions in a skimmed milk garlicy sauce and served with tagliatelle. Delicious and more for lunch with green beans for extra speed.
My breakfast is almost always wholemeal muffin with 2 eggs, cherry toms, rocket and 1 cheese triangle.
Trying to minimise sins on week days so I can drink wine on a weekend, so fruit only for snacks and a 0% greek yoghurt with berries for lunchtime dessert.
No idea for dinner tonight... maybe salmon.
Do you mind if I bore you with my journey here?

    You are indeed welcome here.
You will have seen some of us post daily menus and others just weigh-in figures.
And also some write of other things about our lives which may affect our weight reduction journey.

For Brambling to add you to the chart - how much do you want to lose by the end of the quarter (30 September)?

I would like to lose 6lb by end of September!
I will aim for 1 to 2lb per week, but I do have a weekend away soon.
    Thanks!!
