I'm prepared for a chunky gain this week unfortunately.
My back has packed up on me again and as exercise plays a big part in this - not only the mileage but less downtime to think of food - I know its going to be a couple of pounds at least.
Damage limitation time!2 -

STS this week again.
Need to do something to kickstart weight loss off again. Hope everyone else is doing better.

OK, Monday I will start.
I know I've said that several times. This year has been pants.
I might not go on the blood sugar diet. To be honest, just to have 3 vaguely sensible meals a day would be a massive improvement. There has been an awful lot of comfort/binge eating going on. I'm basically living on sweets, cakes and rooibos tea. Even my son has just told me to drink a pint of water.
I just don't cook properly anymore, or plan or shop accordingly. Right now, we don't even have a loaf of bread in.
I'm at the point now where I don't really want to bump into anyone I know because I have put so much weight on in such a short period of time. Also my feet ache! I think it has only happened twice before that I'm actually embarrassed about my size.
Really, I have about 4 stones to lose now. 2 would make a difference. 3 would be fine.5 -
FIRTH if it’s any consolation I feel exactly the same definitely a fresh start tomorrow good luck3

Just remember you can't lose it all in one go, really wish you/I could. Just chip away and it will come.
I cannot even move or bend enough to GET on the scales but strangely I've eaten better partly due to my lack of movement. Go figure!!4 -

Hi Brambling! Hope you were away for good reasons!
half a pound lost for me this week.
Considering I had the mother of all take aways one day Im actually pleased with that. Also pleased that I got right back to my usual healthy eating the next day.
Really need to up my activities as well....Im doing my regular exercise but have spent far too many hours this week playing computer games whilst sat on my !!!!!!. I def need to take myself out for some walks!4 -
@Frith, as someone who has struggled with weight loss all their life, I know how difficult it can be, especially when the end goal feels impossible sometimes. One thing that has helped me is the NHS 5% rule (hate to say this as I hate the NHS BMI police) so if my 5% target is 12lb then I'd use this as a Quartey target, 4lb in a month then does not feel like a big ruddy hill to get up.
Over a year (sure people can do the math) this is a good weight loss and still allows you to live a little, the number of times I've said 2lb per week is easy and set this as a target, then fallen off the wagon as most people STS or put on at some point, well I'll just say it's made me scoff again.
I know you mentioned about going out, have you tried shopping late or at a quiet time, one thing I've done in the past is have a few M&S count on us or Eat well ready meals, not cheap but WW or Sliming World are about the same, to me they do feel as if I'm having proper food, I used to buy their chocolate mousse to have as a snack after lunch with a piece of fruit if I was still hungry. I'm not trying to tell granny how to suck eggs, but this is one thing that helped me when struggling (which happens a lot). Ocado deliver their meals, I tend to find their stuff overall has a better fat, sugar and salt content than much of what is out there, I'm a very fussy eater, and their count on us range is good.
