  • I'm prepared for a chunky gain this week unfortunately.

My back has packed up on me again and as exercise plays a big part in this - not only the mileage but less downtime to think of food - I know its going to be a couple of pounds at least.

    Damage limitation time!

I am - 0.5kg. I am playing with intermittent fasting and different fasting windows but I need to be mindful of what I eat in the eating windows. Snacking and sweet cravings are definitely my downfall.
Yes far too easy to over relax. I have already tried occasional fasting windows. Particularly late breakfast on a non work day and then skip lunch. I tend to nibble when I arrive home and need time to prepare an evening meal but I am hungry already!

Just remember you can't lose it all in one go, really wish you/I could. Just chip away and it will come.

I cannot even move or bend enough to GET on the scales but strangely I've eaten better partly due to my lack of movement. Go figure!!

@Frith, as someone who has struggled with weight loss all their life, I know how difficult it can be, especially when the end goal feels impossible sometimes.  One thing that has helped me is the NHS 5% rule (hate to say this as I hate the NHS BMI police) so if my 5% target is 12lb then I'd use this as a Quartey target, 4lb in a month then does not feel like a big ruddy hill to get up.
Over a year (sure people can do the math) this is a good weight loss and still allows you to live a little, the number of times I've said 2lb per week is easy and set this as a target, then fallen off the wagon as most people STS or put on at some point, well I'll just say it's made me scoff again.

I know you mentioned about going out, have you tried shopping late or at a quiet time, one thing I've done in the past is have a few M&S count on us or Eat well  ready meals, not cheap but WW or Sliming World are about the same, to me they do feel as if I'm having proper food, I used to buy their chocolate mousse to have as a snack after lunch with a piece of fruit if I was still hungry.  I'm not trying to tell granny how to suck eggs, but this is one thing that helped me when struggling (which happens a lot).  Ocado deliver their meals, I tend to find their stuff overall has a better fat, sugar and salt content than much of what is out there, I'm a very fussy eater, and their count on us range is good.
