It's not a bug. £25,000 limit applies to normal savings accounts, but doesn't apply to ISA.

Hi
Just applied and tried to login but keep getting 'unexpected exception' error. I've emailed them but just wondering if anyone has come across this?
Cheers

I've had that in the past. Took an absolute age for them to sort out, weeks and weeks. I just checked and I have the same error again…

How often are you replacing your phone?
It's a perfectly sensible security precaution that only the single device known to the bank's system can authorise login attempts.

Tesco Internet Saver : does anyone have experience of opening this account and being asked to return a letter with their signature before withdrawals will be allowed ? Do Tesco send anything to say they have received it? I sent it back on the 16th and I’ve heard nothing yet.
Tesco sent me an email on the 14th saying “ready when you are” and “we can’t wait for you to get started” - but also saying I needed to return the letter. I don’t know why they think I’d put money in until I could be sure I could get it out again. Trustpilot has reviews from people who have done that, and then been unable to withdraw.

Ignoring the letter for a moment, it's normal for Tesco not to allow withdrawals immediately after opening the account but it becomes possible after 3-4 days with no specific acknowledgement. After this amount of time I would test it with a quid, you may find it's fully functional by now. If that fails give them a ring, it's usually quite quick and they are helpful

Thanks for the reply. Did they say what the problem was?

I've just looked at my notes and in the end it turns out that it was because my computer was auto populating the username. As long as I enter it manually, it works.

I've just done online chat and it seems I need laptop or tablet to login online. Baffling!
Cheers

Oxbury opened and funded. I like the authenticator app (used to that from other places). Applied and logged in on PC then downloaded and set up the app. Worked really well. Oxbury is new territory for me and this is perfect for my needs at the minute, so thanks very much for the heads up.
