Well, I used to quite like them until they decided to offer this to new customers only ☹️

I'm in - that's an attractive rate - wonder how long it will last?

Oxbury customer service is excellent. App is simple but easy to use. I was also thrilled to read about this new account and then crashed back down to earth when I saw it was only open to new customers only.

I know some other banks that offer new customer promotions can be obtained by using a different email address or similar. Wonder if that is possible with this?

Me too, I've had nine accounts with Oxbury over the last three years and not a single problem. I'd love to have this account.

Re. Oxbury
Why the (strangely onerous) requirement to have '…two devices: a smartphone or tablet, and a separate device with an internet browser'?

I think its because the App has limited functionality, some things have to be done on the web browser. You can request a withdrawal on the app, so its not totally limited. Its just not an all singing & dancing App.

Thanks.
I don’t have a smartphone or tablet, so would look to online (via laptop) for access/management, but the way the KPI reads, it’s as though you need both to apply/register/manage the account?
EDIT: started the application process to see what happened, and it states that 'Once you have applied for your account you will then need a smartphone to scan a QR code to use our iOS or Android App to access the Oxbury Online Banking platform which makes managing your account both incredibly easy and highly secure'

I think you need both. I'm sure you need to authorise certain transactions on the app when doing them online, almost like an authentication process. I would drop them a note, they are extremely helpful and you speak to real people when you call & message them.

Since it also requires your phone number, postal address (they ask how long you've lived there, so probably do a basic check of it) and date of birth, I'd suspect they'd identify you.
