When did they start blocking a sole 2nd Edge CA and a 2nd Edge saver? Was Mrs Bobblehat lucky to squeak in a short while ago with applying for two solo Edge CAs and two Edge Savers?

The T&C's for Edge CA still says today …..

and the T&C's for the Edge Saver still says today ….

So are they going against their own T&C's, or have I missed something?

Their systems now enforce exactly as their T&Cs say: you can have 1 sole and 1 joint Edge. Plus you can have 1 Edge Explorer (which isn't the same as an Edge). For each of those 3 accounts, you can have 1 Edge Saver, so the max is 3 Edge Savers.However, the Edge Explorer does cost £17/mth, so only sensible for those who get value from the insurances that come with the Explorer.

I don't know when exactly they updated their systems to enforce those T&Cs (which have been there from day one) but it's at least 8 months ago. For a while before then, it was possible to have 2 sole Edge accounts, and it seems Santander tolerate 2 for those who managed to get them, which is great for them as they can get up to 4 Edge Savers.

Interesting! Mrs Bobblehat got her two Edge CAs and two Edge Savers in February.

Although the T&Cs for the Edge CA gives an example of someone who already has a sole and joint Edge CA not being able to apply for a third, it does not say if someone with only a single sole Edge CA can or can't apply for a 2nd sole Edge CA (as Mrs B did with no problem).

Anyone on here actually been blocked from applying for 2 sole Edge CAs after February? There may be people on here who would find it useful to know one way or the other.

I only have £1 in it now, but back in 2023 it was one of my highest-interest easy access accounts for a while.

Thanks all, wasn't expecting so many answers and financial dating chat on top. I've got a Santander Edge Current account and an Everyday Current account from a while ago (cashback). It doesn't let me open a second one and I don't want to open another current account just to potentially find out after I can't get the second Edge Saver and end up with a current account I won't use and a hard search so I guess I have to keep the one I have.

Probably best if I focus a bit more on Cahoot 😎
