Right, so I'm looking for a new ISA for the 2026-27 tax year, and so far none of the ones I have looked at seem to offer what I would like in my new ISA. Wondered if you lot could help? ;)

    I'm after the following features:

    - Flexible account

    - Easy Access

    - Monthly Interest

    - Accepts transfers in

    - With those criteria, best interest possible.

So far my search has been fruitless. Each account seems to have at least one of those features missing. I don't know why they have so many problems offering Flexible ISAs these days, or that's how it seems!

Oh and I should say, I had an account with Trading 212 but I closed it, so I am not a newbie. I already have an ISA with Chip but my bonus rate will expire sometime this year, hence me wanting a new account that accepts transfers in.

Anyone know of a decent account with all those features, please?

you might get better responses by posting in the ISA section of the forums…

Tandem would probably meet all your conditions - though the rate is only 3.75%, but if you can get a topup via the app, it would be 4%.

if you haven't done so already, searching on Moneyfacts and filtering on flexible ISA might be helpful to you.

Just noticed that my Santander Edge saver 6% had matured. I don't remember receiving any advance warning of it though which is a bit annoying. It takes 5 working days to close apparantly, which I requested via the chat bot.

As mentioned by @janusd use Moneyfacts and the Full Search button as this will allow you to filter results to include only flexible accounts and such.

Tandem does seem to be the best currently available (i.e. after a search and ignoring accounts that have a limited number of withdrawals) though is app based but as you have used Chip and T212 before this shouldn't bother you.

The Edge Saver doesn’t mature as such - it’s just that the interest rate plummets after 12 months because the bonus rate expires, as advised when you apply for the account.

My 12 months are up on March 15 and I have a “your savings account is changing” letter dated February 27 in my Statements and Documents folder in the app. I also had an email telling me that this letter had been filed. Did you not get any of this?

You can withdraw the entire balance right away, you don’t have to wait for Santander to action your closure request. You can open another Edge Saver once they have closed the old one. If you do this, might be worth diarising when the 12 months are up 😎

I just noticed the document in my account there. Turns out my bonus rate expired on the 30th of Jan 🫣.

My comment was more of a warning to diarise, as you mentioned 👍

Do Cynergy not allow opening of accounts through the app?

I cannot see an option anywhere within the app and FAQs about what you can do within the app make no mention of opening accounts.

You have to open new accounts via the Website using the "FastTrack Apply" option. It takes a few minutes since everything is pre-filled. I opened the account at 7.30 this morning and it was all up and running by 9.00am. You do have to wait 24 hours for CoP to work through, but once it's opened you can do an instant transfer from existing issues.
