The New Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area

Secure Trust sent me an email advertising a 95-day notice tracker account offering 4.21% AER whilst their website has an easy access account offering 4.21% AER… I guess apart from the latter being (in theory) slightly more exposed to rate reductions, is there any reason why they have the same AER on both of these?

@soulsaver - Hampshire Trust Online Easy Access (Issue 35) 4.24% (£1, Anniversary interest)

Does anyone know what the second best cash ISA for transfers is? The best is currently Moneybox but only for new customers. I see Bank Of Ireland UK is 4.21% and I can't find anything that suggests that transfers get a different rate. Is there anything that beats it?

You can search by transfers at moneyfacts (https://moneyfactscompare.co.uk/savings-accounts/) and see for yourself, or ask on the ISA board perhaps.

There are a few ISA provider paying slightly higher rates than that for their easy access cash ISA accounts, including Monument and Vanquis. Have a look at this list.
It's more common than not for ISA providers to pay the same rates for both new subscriptions as transferred-in funds. It tends to be the more unconventional providers (those who aren't proper banks or building societies) like Trading212, Moneybox and Plum who sometimes pay lower rates for transfers, but even this can vary so you just have to check the T&Cs carefully at the time you sign up.
If you've got any more questions on the best-paying cash ISAs, I would check out this thread in the 'ISAs & tax-free savings' sub-forum.

Thanks. I did look at Moneyfacts but they don't make any note of whether there's a different rate for transfers and for some reason those other offers didn't even show up. I should note that Monument have a £10k minimum deposit

That's because almost all ISA providers don't pay lower rates for transferred-in funds. The only one who I'm aware of currently doing this is Plum.

Change search criteria at top of page from Provider Links First to Rate, you can also do a full search to check for transfers, flexible etc.

Vanquis 4.30% AER. Minimum £1000. It's probably not on MSE top paying list because it is a triple access restricted account.

Maybe cos' it's not appearing on the Vanquis website itself? Are you referring to the triple access ISA - that's for a different category/thread, this thread is for easy access non-ISAs…
