Thanks. I am sticking with it while it stays at 4.25% as I like the account, especially speedy deposits and withdrawals and the ability to pay any payee. Also the ability to use the easy bank transfer through open banking is something I value.

Agreed, never had any issues with the account - near-instantaneous withdrawls and deoposits to/from my main current account.
I've decided to keep £5k with Ulster but moved the rest of my easy access funds to an existing Zopa account paying 4.45% - all for that extra 0.2% 😄

Cahoot Sunny Day Saver - I opened the latest version of this. So I now have two Sunny Day Savers. But, I notice that the interest rate shows as ZERO on the old account, which was opened in January!

What's the balance on the one opened in January?

It will revert to 5% tomorrow.

A few quid over 3k. So I reduced it to just under 3k and noted it remained at zero interest

Excellent. Many thanks.

Same scenario as one of mine (£1over) and the 5% showed up day after I reduced balance to 3k.

I've left £1 in it. I'll check tomorrow and see if it's gone back to 5% and if so I'll refund it up to 3k. I'm now wondering if the rate goes to zero if they add interest and it takes the balance over 3K?

Yes, if you've got the full £3k saved then any interest added will result in online banking stating the rate is 0%.
They've presumably decided that stating 0% is the safer option when the balance exceeds £3k because if it still stated 5%, people might think they were getting that rate for the full balance.
It doesn't actually go to zero though - you'll still be getting 5% on the first £3k.
