Impressed with Ulster Bank’s application process. Just waiting for confirmation it’s open now.1

Ulster bank. I thought that the LE saver which I applied for last night (thanks for the update @jaypers ) was in my app this morning already but it turns out it's the current account which I had applied for earlier in the day. It just popped up with no email notification at all.0

same here - but with the added bonus for us that Ulster have performed a hard search on our credit reports... there is a notification in the app that the debit card will be here within 10 working days.BestSeagull said:Ulster bank. Ulster Bank Limited Edition Saver
I got an email to say my account was open and 'ready to use' despite not showing in the app. I just tried to pay in a test £1 from Nationwide; it passed the Nationwide check, but the transfer then got rejected/refunded because they did not 'recognise the sort code and/or account number'. I'll try again once it shows in the app.0 -
I am assuming they don't do a hard credit search gor the Ltd Edition Saver?janusd said:

I just got the same - my sending bank is showing "Rejected - Beneficiary Account Details Unknown" as the cause... payment to the current account when through fine though.BreakingGlass said:Ulster Bank Limited Edition Saver

possibly a soft search if you are a new customer to confirm your identification details, but there shouldn't be a hard search for just opening a savings account.topyam said:

Re: Ulster bank LE Saver
Reading the 'access to money' section, have I read this right, unless you have an UB current account, this is an app-only account?0 -
Hard searches are only carried out for credit applications (and not necessarily for all of them), i.e. not for savings accounts.topyam said:

you should be able to access via Anytime Banking - e.g logging in online.... when I started the dummy test application last night, it does take you through the steps of registering for online access... possibly if you aren't going to use the app, then you *might* need to use their card reader.happybagger said:Re: Ulster bank LE Saver

Personally, I enabled biometric settings in the app, so I need to show my face to login to AB, but I don't think you necessarily need the app to use the account.
