With the interest rate only being 3.93%, why did you bother applying for it?Cobbler_tone said:Just wasted my time setting up a Cahoot account. I have 7 accounts now and don't think this was a worthwhile addition.
Firstly, it has no app and the platform looks like it was designed by a 6th former in their bedroom.
The interest rate is 3.93%.
I'll stick with my 4.5% from Chase until Thursday and then flip to Gatehouse at 4.65%.
The Gatehouse transfers are a little clunky but been happening same day.
Although their website is antiquated, they are still paying me 5.1% (for another week) and withdrawsls to my nominated account are immediate.2 -

The Sunny Day Saver of no use?
- 4.75% AER/gross (variable) for 1 year on balances up to £3,000.

The Santander app works with Cahoot accounts. Just login with your Cahoot credentials. I've been using it with mine for a few months now.Cobbler_tone said:

I think it was the sunny day offer that attracted me but not showing. I certainly wouldn’t have applied for the rate I’ve been given.Stargunner said:

Good tip from the other poster on the Santander app, I’ll give that a go.1 -
Cahoot's internet banking is just a version of Santander's with a different colour scheme.Cobbler_tone said:Just wasted my time setting up a Cahoot account. I have 7 accounts now and don't think this was a worthwhile addition.

Also, you need to be careful when comparing interest rates that you are comparing equivalent rates to get an accurate comparison.
For instance the Chase 4.5% interest rate is a annual rate while the 3.93% you quote for Cahoot is monthly and its actually 4% AER.
Similarly, the Gatehouse rate is actually 4.75% AER - 4.65% being the monthly equivalent.

Are Gatehouse EA withdrawals 24/7 or office hours only? Ta.0

If you want to receive money on the same day, you have to make a withdrawal before 1pm (working days only). Withdrawals can take up to 7 hours to arrive, at least in my recent experience.jimexbox said:Are Gatehouse EA withdrawals 24/7 or office hours only? Ta.2 -

IME, withdrawals were always next working day (though it's been while since I made any).0 -
I have only done a couple of test it. When I did one in the evening it was transferred at 10am the next day. The day time one I did happened in just under two hours. I believe they use faster pay.jimexbox said:Are Gatehouse EA withdrawals 24/7 or office hours only? Ta.3 -
Monument is where I’ll be going back on Thursday, 4.55 AER.0
