Just received an email from Cahoot.

I'm on the simple saver 2 (5.0%) and have not had a notification as of yet. The 12 months introductory rate ends mid Jan so perhaps they are keeping it at 5% until then which is very welcome.

It looks like Ford Money have relaunched their Flexible Saver account, but now it's 4.5% rather than 4.75%.  The previous Flexible Saver is still showing as 4.75% when I view it in my account though.  Unsure if that will reduce or not to match the new one, bit confusing really since they don't have different issue numbers as far as I can tell!
I've actually  got a question about the account.
If l open the flexible  saver can l then open their regular saver  and move  cash across from it?
You can move money between those accounts yes, whether in the app or on the desktop site.
    Good to know, cheers

They would need to give notice ahead of lowering the rate so I think you'll still be on 4.75%
I spoke to them about this  - they are going to issue notice of a change in the next day or so and the 30 days on the old rate will kick in from there.. so expect to get 4.75% until just before christmas by my reckoning.
  • What has happened to Metro?

I have a 1 yr fix 5.8% maturing end of the month. The offer is 1.75%. I will move it to EA at 3.64%. I like Metro, withdrawals are instant if only there rates were better.

I will move some to the Coventry as I have the triple access 4.75% ( after rate reduction!).

I quite like Metro too, and that brief period they were the best payers was superb.

But that drop off has to be one of the worst seen in years! And does not fill me with any hope for my 5.66% ish 1 year expiring Jan, or 5.8% expiring May/June!

Open to any recommendations for a better rate for EA, with zero hassle set up (i.e. not needing to wait for codes in the post like Vanquis). Not Shawbrook or Kent Reliance, on them already.

I still have it as 3.95% in my spreadsheet. The last e-mail I had from Metro was on 8th May announcing reduction from 5.22% to 3.95%.  I guess I didn't get the notification about further reductions because my balance has been zero for a long time??? Now opened the app and it shows 3.64%, I wonder if it is Gross (as displayed) or AER?  The've mixed it up in the past, don't know if the issue was fixed or still there.

In any case, there's very little point using this account.  There are other EA accounts with the same capabilities that offer a better rate.
