Received the same e-mail, which reminded me to check if my issue 3 (the only remaining AR account I had) still there.  It's not.  They've notified that to keep the account opened I need to make a transaction before 18th November, so I did and kept £1 in the account until 20th.  That wasn't good enough so I don't have an account with AR anymore.  Good to see that the app is still running so if they ever offer anything good it should be easy to apply.
My easy access Al Rayan account was also sitting at zero for some time and then vanished from sight without warning. They could re-instate the same sort code/acct number within 24 hours when I needed an easy access account to deal with the renewal of a fixed term account. All I needed to do for this was ring them. Their CS was easy and quick to get hold of, and very competent. Mind you, the name of the account is now "Holding Account (Deposits)". It sits there with a zero balance and no interest rate, which suits me fine, as for now I would only use it to move money from/to fixed term accounts.

Yes, I remember calling them when they went 'app only' and setting up wasn't working, they were very competent and resolved the issue.
My "Holding Account (Deposits)" has disappeared without warning.

I've got their easy access account and had £1 in it for a while and got every 2 months a penny of interest and now on £1.10 balance. Never was told I need some transactions or anything.
That's probably because your balance was above £0.

Think a 5.2% Trading 212 flex cash ISA might be worth considering given Ulster's is ending in October.

    Was just on

but it recommends to get it, directing to

They wont let me have on because I'm a US citizen
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I was looking at my Santander Edge saver and it says the interest rate is 4.5%. When did that drop from 6

1.50% AER is a bonus rate for the first 12 months from opening, this might explain 4.5%.  Not sure where you see it, both of my Edge Savers are showing 6%.

You should be able to close it and then open the same Edge Saver account at 6%.

7% is the old rate (no longer available for new applications), the new rate is 6%.
