@Starlight_at_Sea do you buy a certain brand of coverless duvet and will they fit in a standard washing machine? They might be something I'd like to try.7
-
Hello,
hugs to those who need them.
Did a medium big top up shop as I won't need the big one this week and only used half the weekly budget. Might drag the family out for a walk in a minute. Report back later.

Happy Anniversary ThriftyT and Mr TTToday I am grateful for a fab liddle box, for seeing all my buddies at the gym, for having a good book on the go, for a last-minute invite to dinner at our builder friend's house (and we can bend his ear about the kitchen stuff!), for finding a yoga mat sized 190x90cm for Pip's top bunk for his project up there.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

I am intrigued by Pips project up there @apple_muncher, do tell us more when the times right!
Welcome @Chrystal and @Esmeralda2662 and @Flying_By
I have also got some from the fine bedding company @beanielou and do recommend! They have a blue light card discount and a first time buying discount too. Our singles all year and summer fit easily in standard washing machine, as does the summer double and summer king. The winter double is a bit tighter but does fit, I'm not sure about the winter king size.7 -
Evening allJust caught up on everyone's news. ((Hugs)) to those who need themNSD here today, though I have no idea if there have been any others, or how manyCleaned out our wardrobe this morning, and sorted out some more items for the CS. No point in keeping things I don't can't wear. I have treated myself to some new dresses, T shirts and a pair of trainers as I was short of summer things. Hope the weather improves so that I can wear them
I wore a thick cardi to work yesterday, and my colleague was wearing her thermals - in June!!!
Looked after little GS for the morning as DD had to go to the dentist's. Poor thing had a tooth out. GS did weeding, snipping in the garden (have to watch these processes), painting, helping grandad in the workshop, and helping grandma shred the old bills. Collapsed in a heap for a bit after that! Then went to my brother's to make sure he is ok and get him anything he wanted, and came home and cooked the dinner.
OH has started the dishwasher. I might make some pastry and put in the fridge overnight, to make a quiche tomorrow. Also planning to make a bolognese.Planning on cleaning at my brother's tomorrow, as he has assessments from Adult Services and someone from the local hospice on Monday and Tuesday respectively. I can't do anything about the stained carpets, but I can hoover around and wash the kitchen floor.Grateful today for a bit of sunshine, spending time with little GS and my brother having a good day.9 -
Thanks @beanielou and @Starlight_at_Sea for the coverless duvet info. Will definitely have a look at these.
Yesterday we went to a little family-run garden nursery and OH bought some bedding plants. We came back and i planted up some large pots and weeded while he mowed the lawn. Hopefully the plants will survive and fill out a bit.
Today I went with my mum and aunt for afternoon tea with music from the musicals. My friend and her neighbour should have been there but were both poorly so cancelled. It's a shame they missed it. We decluttered their share of the cakes and sandwiches to avoid wasting them!
Must have had too much sugar as we came home and fell asleep on the sofa.
Only 1NSD so far this month.
Grateful for a lovely afternoon at the musical tea, some sunshine and my niece and her toddler calling in for a couple of hours this morning. X

Thanks @apple_muncher 😃
I love books of all kinds, can't leave a CS without a bagful!...
A busy day today, practiced Norwegian, then went to town to collect mum & DS3 (who'd stayed there last night). Dropped sewing off & collected more, did the food shop & came home. After a quick bite to eat, I strimmed the verges either side of the top of our driveway, then snipped all the branches from the bushes poking through the fence down the side of the drive - they set off my reversing sensors every time!
Unpicked 3 zips, 2 in jeans, one in a denim dress, & after tea I replaced them.
Quite tired now, I keep waking @5am & not sleeping properly afterwards.
Grateful for hugs from DS3, getting the outside jobs done I'd wanted, another 3 bags of sewing out the way.
Have a great Sunday, hope the sun shines 😃Use it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃
