Today I am grateful for some time in the garden, for getting a good number of items finished for tomorrow's fair, for migraleve working for Pip, for having the cooker connected for the weekend - not that we feel like cooking a lot of things but it means Pip can have his food cooked as per normal for a couple of days, for cracking on with my marking.

    Happy weekend folks!

Dropped sewing off at a customer's en route to town, then another 5 bags at my drop off point. Picked another 3 up, so will have to get cracking with those & the other pile I've got to do, to get finished for Friday!

Did my big monthly shop with mum, used my 10% off at L1DL. After putting it a away, I did my 100 skips, then moved a big pile of stone.

Watched TV with DS1, then a funny film (📙smart) whilst I knitted. DH watched some of it too & it made us laugh out loud 😂

Grateful for it staying dry whilst I packed my shopping, also when I carried it all into the house, & again when I narrowed all the stone, chats with mum, funny films

Thank you for June's challenge @Starlight_at_Sea!

Although I didn't post as much as I would have liked, it got me thinking and I tried (and think I succeeded) to simplify my mornings as much as possible by reducing the amount of stuff I have to do, taking brek to work and deciding what I will wear the night before. This has really helped me. I didn't do very well on the exercise-front as I was low-level sick for most of June (on antibiotics now) but actually I think a month of rest and recuperation was probably necessary.

Let's keep your turtle peloton going throughout the summer :-)

Thanks for this month @Starlight_at_Sea  I had to rob some money from savings, but it has been paid back today and I am not going into July with a deficit.
This month was a success, in that I now have over 80% of the house carpeted. DH has a home study,  GCSEs were vanquished, Covid stayed in the house for 4 weeks, and then left (hooray!), car was taxed, and everyone went to the dentist. Plus I regained a husband, stuff was decluttered, and I can see a way forward.
See you in Madrid, I will be the one in the big hat.

Thank you for June, Starlight. I've enjoyed trying to simplify life amidst the upheaval of having the kitchen all changed! I have absolutely no idea how many NSDs I managed, but I know I've hardly spent beyond the necessities. Life has had to be simplified as we've had to live upstairs and cook very simply with the microwave.

Today I am grateful for sleeping well, for an enjoyable fair at Pip's school, for a friend taking Pip to a dance show thingy, for having a gazebo, for lots of compliments on my crafted items, for dh cooking tea, for the kitchen being nearly finished (according to the builders - to the untrained eye there still seems heaps of work to do!)

Thank you for this month's thread @Starlight_at_Sea, & to Shrewbie for setting up July.

I've had a lovely day, woke DS1 up for work, then walked the long route to the village to go to a jumble sale for the RNLI. Spent a grand total of £13, came away with a lampshade, a pair of tweezers, 2 ornaments, 2 books, a brand new pair of branded jeans for DS3, a dress, a top & 2 jumpers for me 😃 bumped into a friend I haven't seen for a while & agreed to meet up in a couple of weeks, then walked home again.

Assembled a memory bear (just the hand stitching & stuffing to do now(, then shortened 3 long cardigans.

After tea I picked red & black currants & read more if my book. It's about a group of friends, who all write a list each, of 20 wishes they would like to happen in their life. It can be anything from belly dancing to finding love again, learning to knit or another new skill to visiting Paris or another destination. Wonder what if put on my list...

Anyway, ended up on NSD16, don't think next month will be as frugal, as we're away Fri night, then gave family visiting the week after, though it'll be the school holidays, so won't need to go anywher/very far!

Grateful for bargains at the sale, bumping into my friend, currant picking & a good book
