Quiet on here today. Must be the lovely weather!Managed to get my brother's prescription from the independent pharmacy in our town. Next time he needs something (quite frequent) I will ask if the prescription be sent there rather than the M*rris*ns next door to the surgery with the half hour queues
Not sure if it will be possible as my bro lives in a different town, but will see...
Work today, not many people in, so we got a bit bored. Did some much needed cleaning to fill the time.Made mushroom risotto from fridge stuff for dinnerI need to do the watering, but chilling out till it cools down a bit and noisy kids next door go in. It is peaceful in the garden late eveningNothing spent, but I have totally lost track of NSDs. Must do better next month!Grateful for the ability to make a meal from very little (a punnet of mushrooms from a Lidl box and some stock from when we roasted a chicken last week, with a few store cupboard bits), strawberries from the garden, and managing to get my brother's tablets from our brilliant independent pharmacy.6 -
Another one here who's completely lost track of NSD's! Although today was one, I know that much.
Yesterday was another spendy day at the vet, I had to use the credit card, will submit a form and see if I can claim anything back but not sure if it will be covered. We can only try. It's frustrating as I'm back where I was at the start of the month debt-wise, despite making overpayment. But life happens, and this is why I need to pay the debt down and build the savings up again.
Spent most of today in the car, either doing personal errands, like sorting out my ID and DBS docs with my new employer first thing, or driving about for work-related errands. I managed to get home early though to finish the day at home. Decided to listen to the footie and walk to the gym as I guessed it might be quiet, and I was right! It was deserted, so an excellent move on my part haha. Feeling the ache already, not looking forward to the DOMS tomorrow.6 -
Progress sounds like it's being made on your house things turtles 😊
Hope the poorly folk feel better soon. I'm still waiting to hear about my cataract op, was told the waiting list is 17 months after initial referral, so that'll be August 🤞
Paid the deposit yesterday for the new front door, & my turn to buy the local paper this week, so still on NSD#12.
Haven't done yoga for a few days, as the new internal door is still in the middle of the living room! Still skipping though, as that's outside.
Work has been ok, & more sewing done in the evenings.
Grateful for better weather, dry washing, the support teacher & new head are aware of the incompetencies of a fellow worker & trying to do something about it - FINALLY, & only 9 work days left before the holidaysUse it up, wear it out

Today I am grateful for my train home only being late and not cancelled, for excellent food at the venue, for Pip looking very dapper for prom, for them all having a wonderful time, for DH holding the fort while I was away.

Morning turtles
I'm getting back into the routine after being under the weather for the last few weeks. Grateful for managing to get to the gym, for my job, for my housemates cooking.
Have been wondering whether or not to go to NZ for one of my best friend's wedding next May. I would feel awful if I didn't go, and it's not like I haven't had enough notice, but I suppose it's not the most sensible idea to go gallivanting halfway across the world when I'm trying to buy a house?! also, it's in their autumn.... However, you only live once. I think I will go, but try to do it as cheaply as possible (try to find a house sit, for example). Thinking about one week in NZ exploring a little of the Abel Tasman national park and one week on an island, perhaps Bali/the Gili islands? (may be very touristy though now?!) if anyone has any suggestions please let me know :-) I think an island would only be doable if I have three weeks' holiday maybe.Student loan £5655

@Shrewbie, how about you treat it as your one and only holiday that year? Planned and budgeted for. You have nearly 12 months to prepare.
You are making such great progress with the savings for the mortgage deposit. Keep on keeping on.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

@Shrewbie go for it if you can budget for it, sometimes we have to treat ourselves and it's not like you are abandoning your goals altogether. If you look on skyscanner you an sometimes get some good deals on flights.
Today was a quiet day, planned July's budget as saw my payslip before payday on Monday. Thankfully will be able to chuck a fair amount at the debt which is positive after this month's veterinary disasters.
I did yoga and went for 3 separate 20 minute walks before work, at lunchtime and after work. Also managed to get a few small jobs done. Off to donate blood shortly and then an early night.9 -

Quite a stressful day at work, pupil behaviour has gone severely down hill this week unfortunately. Had a good chat with the teacher after work, I'm going to miss working in her class!
Did the big pile of ironing after tea, then cut out a memory bear, collected DS3 from his bus mid-evening
Grateful for coming home to see the first of the new doors hung in position, after work chats, it's the weekend & DS3 having good principles & wanting to go to the funeral of his school's head janitor tomorrowUse it up, wear it out

Today I am grateful for a day with no builders, for a lie in, for getting some needle felting done, for a fun workout while Pip climbed, for having the gas cooker working over the weekend so we can do 'proper' food!
