Evening turtles
Yesterday and today have been quiet days, so not much to report here. I did the money shuffle ready for July and have finalised the budget ready to go for Monday. Work is getting busier, no update on recruitment for the new job but there's no rush. I need some new trainers as mine have a hole but can't find any that are a good price and my size... the search continues.5 -
Good to hear from you @grandmanerd! Well done on all your progress, glad you're resting up ok in between jobs. Hope your hayfever clears up soon.

A sunny day on our island 😃 didn't do yoga this morning, but did sign up to 3 months free of the Mickey 🐭 channel, through T0sco. Have written a reminder on the calendar to cancel before payments start being deducted.
Blasted some tunes on my way to work, to try & dispel the lingering feeling of stress from yesterday. It worked until I was midflow & bit my tongue 😂 had a better day, with a visit from the Scottish Opera, which went well.
Did 2 sewing jobs after tea & made sure I did my 100 skips earlier than last night.
Grateful for me & the teacher being on the same wavelength, chats with another teacher after school, a better day, that it's nearly the weekendUse it up, wear it out

A good day at work. Gave the teacher her hairy knitted 🍳 she loved it! Also gave her a bottle of wine too. Wasn't sure if she'd be in next week, as she only works a Thurs & Fri. We had a good laugh & a chat at the end of the day.
An early tea, then had a nap. Did my skips (2 days left to go), the ironing & a small sewing job. Messaged my cousin, her eldest brother isn't doing well health-wise. Hopefully we'll get to see him on our trip south. Watched part of a series on the new 3 months free TV channel.
Grateful for lots of laughter, compliments about how my pupil's behaviour has thanks to me, free TV trial, my cousin taking time off & offering to meet us from the train station next weekendUse it up, wear it out

Afternoon turtles. Yesterday was a spend day as we had a leaving do at work and went out afterwards. I bought some food, really wish I hadn't as it was grim and not worth the money at all. Hey ho. I didn't stay late as I was on call and I'd woken up at 5.45 for some reason.
Today I was also on call and had to go in, which I knew would be the case. A tricky morning's work, came home and treated myself to a protein shake for lunch from the ice cream shop across the road. It's not a necessary purchase but once a week won't break the bank. Fell asleep on the sofa briefly after lunch then did some hoovering. I'd also woken up early this morning so I must've been tired.
No plans this evening, OH is out so I'm just going to relax and hopefully get a few more jobs done. This month has had a few setbacks because of unexpected vet bills but it's reinforced that I really do need to focus on clearing those credit cards, hopefully before starting the new job, so that I can go in with a clean slate and build up my savings.3
