Absolutely shattered yesterday! No kids at school but lots of brain work for inset day. We have a new headteacher, so lots of things about how we're feeling in our job, what's going well/or not in our building, etc. Dashed to town afterwards & had tea with mum, before going to a free cinema screening together.
Woke up super early today for some reason. Did the longer yoga routine & got DS3 up for school. Work went well. Had a customer call by, to pin into a beautiful prom dress, then after tea I replaced 2 coat zips. Wasn't home to do the 100 skips yesterday, so I've done 2 batches today instead.
Grateful for free trip to the cinema, another FB sale, another big bag of sewing out the way, sunshine in between the rain showers, a teacher complimenting me yesterday on my positive appearance despite sometimes dealing with something trickyUse it up, wear it out

NSD No 3 due mostly to me staying in bed all day. I think I picked up a tummy bug. All too frequent an occurrence these days, I'm afraid. Need to redouble my efforts today.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

Good morning,
A chilly 10C here today. I think I forgot to post yesterday. I'm on NSD 3. Did a small top up shop yesterday as DH will be away again to take care of FIL (two of his sons stay with him 5 out 7 days a week now as his dementia is getting worse).

I'll check in now before I forget. Felt pretty horrendous with a headache this morning when I woke up but felt better as the day went on. Mum and her partner are now pretty much recovered from covid but I've been here sharing the house with them like a sitting duck (Mum's partner made no secret of the fact he preferred I didn't come to stay with them, but that was never going to happen) I have a cough but testing negative so far. Hopefully it stays that way. Trying to take it easy and recover as much as possible before hen do in Cornwall at the weekend.
- Did my morning pages
- no exercise, will go for a walk after work.

Evening turtles
Yesterday was a long old day so didn't post. Went for a walk first thing and then did some yoga. Had to travel to Bristol for work, bought lunch with me but allowed myself a coffee with lunch.
As I was in Bristol I decided to treat myself to a long lunch, drove over to Bath and went to the well-known spa there for 90ish minutes. It was bliss and every penny spent was worth it. Felt super relaxed, the drive to and from Bristol always messes up my back but this was a good way to break up the journey and ease off my muscles. I only have to go there once a month but think I will do that again! I knew I'd be home late so bought a sandwich to eat for dinner. I'll reclaim all my spends (except the spa lol) from work.
Today I worked from home, got a couple of loads of washing done, dealt with an aquarium related emergency too so was a good job I was here. The employer who I turned down contacted me and offered me the original post I went for, I guess the first person changed their mind? Who knows... it would be progress for me and it was the job I had my eyes on so I'm going to think about it overnight.Save £2,400 tuition fees - £2,321.04 as of 08/24

Hugs to all the poorlies.
Was woken at 5.20 by our heavy cat laying on my stomach! Age must've stayed for half an hour, then moved over to DH, so I managed another half you'd sleep. Woke DS3 up for his first day of work experience. Did a different yoga routine & managed to read a bit of my book whilst eating breakfast.
The morning at work went ok, but the afternoon was horrendous & made me feel very stressed!
DS3 came home buzzing after his day, he was given lots of safety items & spent most of the day helping to fit a staircase!
Did some hand sewing after tea & watched TV, then remembered at 10pm that I'd not done my skips yet, so out I went to do them!
Grateful for DS having a great day at work, that the young man showing him the ropes had worked with me in a cafe when he was a teenager, so kept an eye on him, & the smell of flowers after all the rain we've had todayUse it up, wear it out

Morning all,
Sending love and kindness to all.
I worked at my desk for a good 9 hours plus yesterday, and then i binge-watched Easteneders and I kissed a girl. I realized I hadn't watched the telly for a week - this made me very happy. Busy in the garden and doing productive things. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the binge.
Still on NSD#3.
Yesterdays gratitudes:
- being out in the garden first thing with a coffee
- having some fun at work / professional committee meeting
- hump day was done
I will be having a very expensive day today as I am going to pay for a conference.
Noticed my signature is well out of date, will update over the weekend.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
