Morning all, it's extremely warm today!  Machine load of washing done and out on the line before 8.30 this morning!  It's hard to sleep past about 6am at the moment - think it's probably the heat and the fact that it gets light so early, even though we have black out blinds and black out curtains the light still manages to find a way in!  The weather is even warmer today - coming back from the hospital the car was showing it was 28 degrees - that was just after 10am and it's even warmer now!

Sorry to hear about your fall @maddiemay, glad nothing's broken.  Look after yourself and don't try to do too much and make things worse.

DH had his first proper physio this morning and the physio was amazed at how mobile he is and how much he can bend his leg.  I'm sure it helped that he was doing strengthening exercises before the op as well as since.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette
L - crabstick and cucumber sandwich
D - aubergine and pork hotpot, stir fried courgettes, chard

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 2; wine

    Have a good day everyone.

Good luck for tomorrow @bubbs but you're right that water retention might be a problem. 🤔

Well done Joe for his exercises paying off @joedenise. 👍

We've had a really good day on the IoW. We went to Carisbrooke Castle and really enjoyed it. It was hot but inside the stone buildings was a welcome cool temperature.

Had a SW  breakfast and pleasantly surprised that they did JPs for lunch but I did have ice cream mid afternoon. DH was up for eating out this evening but we weren't hungry enough when we were on the island and back here I'm not impressed with the casual dining places that seem to be all burgers and pizzas and generally food I can do better myself. Our Wetherspoons are horrible, desperately in need of refurbishment.

We got home about 7pm and I did spaghetti and meatballs as it was quick and easy although we had the same earlier in the week. Plus the usual weekend wine so quite mse and not too bad SW wise, just the ice cream and maybe extra HEA as had cheese with JP and Parmesan with pasta.

    Back on plan tomorrow. 😁

Sounds like a lovely day @maman.  Agree the castle is lovely in hot weather being so cool - the advantage of very thick walls!

Not a bad SW day although the wine probably took you over syns but not a problem with a syn bank!  We've had wine tonight too and very nice it was too. I'll need to cut back on syns through the week though to make up for it!

Morning all, going to be another nice day today and forecast to be even hotter than yesterday.

We are supposed to be picking up the car this morning but due to the IT outage DH has been unable to get the insurance sorted out so unless that can be sorted first thing this morning it's going to have to wait until next week.  Good job we still have the small car I mainly drive!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles
D - Fakeaway KFC, chips, corn on the cob, beans

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausages 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Update:  garage obviously want the space on their forecourt so they are going to bring the car to us!
