Morning all well I have to say the chili was delicious, definitely make it again when my portions have been eaten.
Feeling quite ropey since yesterday, hoping it's not covid but probably is, I remembered that the train going to Leeds on Saturday was rammed with people going to york races! So that's probs the culprit. Actually slept a good 8 hours last night which hardly ever happens.0 -
Morning all, it's supposed to be much warmer today but at the moment it is very cloudy!
We recently changed our GP and DH has an appointment this afternoon for a new patient review. They don't insist on everyone having this so I've opted not to bother. DH decided he would as his BP has been a bit erratic since the accident although it seems to have settled down now (typical!).
We've also had the money through for the car so just need to contact the garage and arrange to pick up the new one which will probably tomorrow after DH's physio appointment. Our life seems to revolve around hospital and Dr appointments at the moment - the joys of getting old!
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk, fruit
L - brunch hash
D - sweet and sour chicken, rice - using up the LO roast chicken from the weekend
HEA1 & 2 - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - nothing currently planned (yesterday I didn't' have a lolly as DH bought me in a couple of chocolate biscuits so had those instead!)
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Afternoon all 😁
Bloody roasting here!! Never happy 🤣🤣
Denise i cannot believe how quick you have sorted out with insurance. Was just your vehicle involved? My friends daughter was in a bad accident last August she was insured with Saga and it was a complete nightmare, she didn't get a settlement till December last year, her car was written off.
Mr Bowie hope you are ok and not covid, few people have had it recently and been quite poorly 😢

@bubbs - have to admit we were surprised how quickly the insurance paid out. We're insured with LV and years ago we had a house insurance claim and that was paid really quickly too. There was another car involved but we got enough details for LV to contact their insurance so assume theirs has been sorted too.
Change of plan for dinner tonight as DH's nurse appointment was later than I thought so we're just going to have some cold chicken, new potatoes and salad. Don't mind cold stuff with the temperatures as they are. Definitely not too hot for us - we love it.
@Mrbowie - hope you feel better soon and that it isn't covid.1 -
Hugely unlucky to feel unwell just when summer appears for a few days @Mrbowie. Hope you feel better soon. 🤗
We love the 🌞too @joedenise and we definitely haven't seen enough of it this year. I know you've said your lodge is very hot in the summer @bubbs so that doesn't help.
Good news from WI this morning. I stayed the same from 8 weeks ago so bang on target. 👍 This means the GP's scales are just over (1.6lbs) the SW ones, unless I've lost since Monday. 🤣
I've had a few crisps today. I met a friend and she wanted me to try them. They are cheese and onion Popchips (popped not fried). They're OK but I don't think they're any less synful than other crisps.
Today's plan -
B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
L- JP (F), chilli (P, S), cottage cheese (P), pickles (S)
D- sausage tray bake (S), SW chips (F)
Syns - Aldi sausages 1, crisps 🤔1 -
Well done Maman
That is good to hear Denise.
My friend has just sent this message from Turkey, she is a sun worshiper and lays in the sun
Jesus Christ I have never ever felt heat like this. It’s is 9.50pm and still 39 degrees. It’s unbearable and I can stand heat. We’re going back to the aircon room you just can’t breathe and dripping in sweat 🥵 there’s a breeze and it’s like air out of the oven 🥵 it got up for 47 degrees at 2.30pm today all the sunbeds were empty and the pool was full lol

Good grief that is hot @bubbs, I melt at 22/23.
Have been eating all the wrong things today, blood tests have potentially thrown up a problem will know more in 10 days or so, then this morning on a 5am loo visit I fell heavily in the bathroom, battered and expect to be bruised tomorrow, nothing broken, but lucky as crashed down onto my right femur, some very painful muscles, but getting around very slowly and ouchy with the help of a walking pole. No fun walks in the country for a few days. Lots of doggie cuddles though. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
