Well done on your pound off @TakeItEazy.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Lets's hope your week off does you good, try to get plenty of rest.😊

So pleased MrBubbs and his boss are having a bit of a party to celebrate. It's an important occasion and should be marked.  Although I expect you'll have him working again PDQ @bubbs.🤣

I'm out dancing tonight so no wine syns as I'll be driving and it's a 'bring your own' supper so all I'm planning in the way of syns is some LTL mayo. I haven't decide yet what type of salad so maybe pasta or rice or potato base. Electricians are working in the kitchen so, unless they leave nice and early, it'll depend on what I can prepare.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, strawberries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
    L- JP (F), tuna (P), salad and pickles (S)
    D- ham salad (P,S,F)
    Syns- LTL mayo 2?

Afternoon all, we're back home and have had a great week.  Really enjoyed it but am sure I've put on several pounds but won't weigh until the morning to see how much all the extra syns have caused!

Well done on your lb off @TakeItEazy but sorry to hear you're still poorly.  Try and rest as much as possible this week.

Brilliant loss @Jellybaby, well done.  Never worry about how it's happened - just take it!  Carry on the good work this week and you'll see another loss (just probably not a big one after this week!).

Sounds like things are going well with the building works now @maman and it's all coming together.  Hope you can manage to sort something out to take to dancing tonight!

I've not been on plan very much at all this week apart from breakfasts!  We ate out every day, usually for lunch but as we were full we were eating water biscuits and cheese - some of the cheese would have been HEA but not all of it!  Also there were definitely wine syns and gin syns consumed every day!

I'm trying to be good from tonight and all next week to try and shift at least some of what I've put on this week!  Am reheating a beef stew from the freezer which we'll have with some mash.  I've also made DH some dumplings.

Hope everyone has had a good week.

Welcome back @joedenise great to hear you had a really good time. When’s the next one 😉

I spent yesterday afternoon, unexpectedly, viewing a house with DS2. It was for him but he didn’t like it. It’s a good price because it needs a lot doing but mostly all replacing and cosmetic. While out I popped into a small M&S food store to pick up some extra fruit and veggies. It was the closest shop without having to travel and not as expensive as I thought. Did almost have a fight for the last bag of sprouts but I snagged them 🤣🤣

Just had bran flakes, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, meeting a friend for a coffee later and will have an early dinner as I’m visiting my poorly aunt in hospital tonight.  Dinner is good old mince and tatties, loaded with carrot and onions and of course sprouts on the side!

    Have a good day all.

Not sure how but I missed your stupendous loss yesterday @Jellybaby. FOUR POUNDS!! That's amazing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I wouldn't have fought you for the sprouts yesterday, you'd be welcome to them.🤢

The trades have just finished for the weekend.👍🏼 Today was the painter who's covered the kitchen in plastic and sprayed the ceilings. The oven is wired in but I can't use it yet. I hadn't planned to anyway as I don't fancy having to clean oven trays without, not only the dishwasher but, a sink and all water carted down from the bathroom!

So it'll be a cheat chicken dinner today with the ready cooked fillets I've discovered in Aldi that can be reheated. I bought  them yellow stickered too which is a mse bonus.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday @joedenise and 🤞🏼 it won't take too long to see off the gain. I think you came back too soon as it's the most glorious day here, warm and sunny. What did you do in the Salisbury area?🤔

Very low syn day yesterday so I'm hoping that I'm still in target despite the delicious Italian meal last Thursday. My next official WI is on November 14th but I might go a week early as I'm busy that day and might find it hard to fit things in. I'm also thinking ahead to Christmas as my diary is filling up with various meals out.🤔

What about 'Still time to lose in '24 with Slimming World' for a thread title for the next 10 weeks and then start a new one in 2025? 🤔

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- ham (P), brunch hash (F,S), pickles (S)
    D- chicken (P), new potatoes (F), veg (S)
Syns- granule gravy 4, weekend wine😊

Afternoon all, been busy this morning with all the washing!  Have done 4 loads and have managed to get about 1/3 of it dry and put away.  The rest is still on the line - will leave it for another couple of hours and then bring it in.  Hopefully most of it will be dry by then and anything that isn't can go on the airer overnight.

Just 2 lots of bedding to be done over the next couple of days - bedding from motorhome and bedding from our bed.  Fortunately the forecast is for dry weather all the week so should be able to get it all dry.

I wouldn't have fought you for the Brussels either @Jellybaby - not that I don't like Brussels but actually prefer frozen (I'm the same with green beans!).  Shame the house wasn't any good for your DS but best not to get something if you're not happy with it.

Glad you've got a bit of free time without builders @maman.  Doesn't sound like there's too much more to be done.  How long do you think it will be before you have a proper working kitchen?

We didn't actually do very much in Salisbury itself other than a good walk round.  We used the buses to go to different places and walk around for a bit; found somewhere to eat; another walk around before getting a bus back.  We went to Bournemouth; Ringwood and a couple of other places.  There's a good bus service there - far better than where we live but that's not difficult seeing as we only have a bus once an hour between 6.30am and 6pm with no bus between 1.30 - 3.30pm!  The 3.30pm bus is the school bus so can't really get on it so realistically you need to be back by 1.30 or not come back until after 4pm!

I like the title for a new thread @maman!

I weighed this morning and pleased to say I didn't put on as much as I thought - just 2lb so about half of what I expected!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 3
    L - burger, onions, gherkin slices, soft pitta - HEB; S; 0.5
D - lamb shank; roast potatoes; green veg - S; F; 2 (Iceland frozen lamb shank - think that's right).

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - sausages 3; burger 0.5; lamb shank 2; weekend wine

I think DH is trying to sabotage my weight loss again by opening the wine!  Think he's just got used to having wine with lunch!

Would you start a new thread for us please @beanielou with the title
'Still time to lose in '24 with Slimming World'

Just 2lbs gain for all that eating out is really good @joedenise. Hope you have a good week this week and see it off soon, provided Joe stops the sabotage! 🤣

Our bus services are good around here although it can be patchy in many of the villages. We have the best of both worlds in that we can use the university buses as well as the local ones and we can get to Salisbury or Bournemouth on the train from the station at the bottom of the road. One reason we bought the house was for the transport links because we can access M3 and M27 in minutes too.

I'm hoping about 3 weeks before we can access the kitchen properly although not sure when they'll be laying the flooring which is the last thing on the list. but that shouldn't stop us using it.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- salmon (P), fried potatoes (F), medley of green stuff (S)
    Syns- 0

Afternoon all, it's a fairly nice day today as it's quite bright but a bit breezy.  Should of waited to do the washing until today and probably wouldn't have needed to use the airer overnight but at least it's all dried now and folded and put away!

Needed to go shopping this morning as hadn't got any fruit or eggs!  Also spent an hour on the phone with my sister but lunch ended up being a bit later than we'd normally eat.

Not too much longer to wait for the new kitchen now @maman - bet you can't wait!  Pictures please once it's done!  We all like to be nosey!

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix, milk - HEA2; HEB
    L - 2 pea soup - S; F
    D - liver, bacon, onions; mash - P; S; F

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - 2 Biscoff biscuits 4

    Have a good day.
