Morning all, the forecast was completely wrong here for this morning! It was supposed to be dry until about 10am but has been raining since about 6am! The motorhome is more or less packed apart from the food to go in the fridge but we'll just take it out in the cool bag when we leave. Looking forward to getting away even if the weather isn't forecast to be brilliant.
Do hope your mum is OK and not in too much pain @bubbs after her fall. She's definitely got a good shiner there. That will take a bit of time for the swelling and bruising to go down.
One day of loads of syns isn't a completel write off @maman as you know! You always keep syns very low during thee week so won't be much different to normal. I'm sure you'll be OK by the time you need to go to WI again. How long is it until you need to go?
I'm not going to be posting while we're away as suspect there will be very few, if any, completely on plan days! Suffice to say we will be starting the day off with our usual Fry up and we'll probably have a toasted cheese sandwich when we get to the site. After that will probably be off plan going forward as we'll be eating out quite a bit. I've packed some SW friendly food but that won't help when eating out and I've got no intention of having nothing but jacket potatoes with beans and salad or steak and salad.
If we feel like it we may stay somewhere else on the way home for 2 or 3 days so may be away for 10 days rather than a week! So we've taken enough clothes for that but will definitely need to buy more food if we do that.
Have a good day and week everyone.
See you in a week or so.0 -
Hi everyone, I went missing again but not for as long this time!
Our holiday was ok, sharing with mum is not the easiest and especially when she is a little under the weather (she had an issue with her foot, she went into a panic, lots of tears and woe is me and an absolute refusal to go see anyone about it). I weighed on the Monday after we got home and it was a gain of 4lbs but that had gone down to 2lbs on our official weigh in day two days later.
Last week after a full week on plan, the other 2lb had gone and I was back to where I had been on the day we went on holiday.
I'm having a steroid injection in my shoulder on Tuesday which I am very relieved about as it has been a nightmare since my fall. The fall uncovered arthritis in the joint and tendons that are past their sell by date and very worn and the fall inflamed everything but without doing any further damage.
I also got my date through for my pre op assessment for my abdominal surgery, they want to get the surgery done between now and the end of the year. It's got me a little eek, I'm not concerned about the surgery itself but I never ever do well with a general anaesthetic and always struggle to get over them. On top of that is the extended recovery time, it is a major operation and we have so many events booked and then there is the guilt with mum as I won't be able to go to hers and help her for a while....and boy will she let me know about it.
Going through I saw mention of feet sized, mine are diddy, ballerina feet at the humungous size of 3.5. Neither of my parents have/had small feet, dad was a 10 and mum is a 7, my brother is a 12 and my sister is also a 7. Makes it cheaper to buy shoes though, I can go to the kids section and not pay VAT.
My son is also a big gainer and a big loser. He put around half a stone on on holiday, had a loss of just over 5lbs on our weigh in day this week and that was even with not quite being on plan and sneaking a few extras along the way (pizza anyone while I'm sat there with salad and low fat gubbins)
Right, think that is up to date.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

That's an excellent result losing your holiday gain so quickly. 👏👏👏 Let's hope your surgery is over and done with by the end of the year. 🤞
The forecast was lying again @joedenise. Yes, it did rain earlier but now was supposed to go on all day but now it's sunny and bright and forecast changed to dry! I've put up an extra line and done two loads of washing this morning. Have a good holiday. 😊
It's another two weeks before WI so I'll just plod on and hope for the best.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, strawberries (S), banana (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- ham, egg (P), fried potato (F), mushrooms, tomatoes (S)
D- chicken stir fry with noodles (P, S, F)
Syns - half Crunchie 3, honey 2.5, weekend wine 😁1 -

I've got two siblings, one lives in the same town as her and is in walking distance but it is me, the one who lives 7 miles away and with significant health issues, that is expected to run her around, get her bills paid etc. Apparently, being a divorced female means that I am able to, my sister being a married woman is not expected to and my brother, obviously male, it isn't his role (according to my mum that is).
She's already gone into meltdown mode with the news that I won't be able to drive and thus be there for our normal Tuesday (day of injection) and Wednesday routine visit and I've made it worse by saying that I am taking the Friday off as well (Thursday is my normal rest day).We made it!
