Been really warm here too - about 21 degrees. Washing dried by lunchtime but left it until about 2 before getting it in. Sorted out our clothes to take away and have put those into the motorhome so that's one job out of the way!
Have sorted out what we're going to be eating so will be able to get the freezer packed tomorrow. Will leave anything we need over the weekend until Friday to put in the fridge.
I much prefer a rump steak to a sirloin - it has much more flavour; a bit like preferring chicken thighs to breast for the same reason.

Oh was too dreary here to hang washing out, was foggy this morning.
Oh getting ahead of yourself there Denise 😁

Have a lovely holiday @joedenise
Hope you’re feeling better @Suffolksue. I hope to follow your loss if I ever get a negative test 🙈🙄
@bubbs yes enjoying the peace and quiet! Best of all he’s doing the shopping run too with parents tonight 😁
Another day of soup and hot drinks on the sofa with my book. Have a good day all.2 -
Morning all, can't believe the rain we had last night! Was probably the heaviest I've seen it for quite some time along with thunder and lightening - the storm wasn't forecast at all and the forecast didn't even say it was likely to be very heavy rain, ie no yellow weather warning which we often get even when we don't actually get the bad weather!!!
Anyway after all that it was very grey and cloudy this morning but is now brightening up quite nicely. Looks like the forecast is saying dry but cloudy most of the time until we leave on Saturday morning - it's forecast to rain about 10am which is when we'll need to leave - typical!
Sorry to hear you've had COVID @Suffolksue but hopefully feeling better now and a great loss but not a nice way to lose. Look after yourself.
@Jellybaby - hope you're feeling better now and that you get a negative result soon. Glad your enjoying the peace and quiet with your DS going to stay with your parents - and doing their shopping as well tonight!
Thought I'd finished all the shopping but was checking stuff we'll need to pack into the van and realised we were quite low on potatoes and onions so popped over to Morrisons to get some - made use of the trip to take some stuff to the charity shop as it's on the same estate so killed 2 birds with one stone and cleared a bit of space!
Had a lazy start this morning so started with a lazy breakfast!
B - toast and marmalade - HEB; 5
L - spicy carrot and lentil soup (from the freezer) - P; S; F
D - veggie biryani - S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; marmalade 2
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Boo to the Covid @Jellybaby and @Suffolksue! But it seems that there are upsides. That's an amazing loss @Suffolksue 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 and someone else taking the parents shopping is a result @Jellybaby👍🏼.
I think you'll be OK for your holiday @joedenise. There is some rain forecast over the weekend but, at least, the beginning of next week looks dry and fairly warm. Today is glorious but then the next good day is Monday which coincides with losing the sink and washing machine so I'll get the basket cleared on Sunday night ready to hang out on Monday.
Traffic is crazy around here too @bubbs. There are only limited river crossings and one of the main ones is closed so causing chaos everywhere else.
Sorry didn't manage to post yesterday but stayed on plan, just one syn of chocolate from the square DH is now in the habit of giving me every evening. 🥰
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- chicken (P), new potatoes (F), carrots, green stuff (S)
Syns- LTL mayo 2, granule gravy 4

Evening all 😁
Sue and Jelly hope you are both feeling better ?
Oh booga me Denise we have had the most glorious day today like Summer! Doors and windows still open.
When i went to open the bedroom window there is a great big crack in it! 😱😱 but it's the inside pane , not the outside, god knows how that has happened!
Maman we are just working out what time to go out tomorrow, i need to go early as i have a busy day with orders on a Friday, DH says it's going to be busy, i said we will have to go earlier then but then the shops not open 🤣🤣
I hurt my hand yesterday, went to pick a bag of shopping up with 2 fingers instead of my whole hand and think i pulled my finger out, it's all swollen 🙄
Food today
Picky plate
sweet and sour and bns chips 6 syns

Morning all, weather not too good this morning - it's foggy! We also have a moderate fog warning but checking the forecast it looks like it should clear in an hour or so and start brightening up. Have a machine load of washing in and hoping that the fog has cleared by the time it's done so that I can hang it out! DH thought I was mad doing the washing when it's foggy as he knows I like to hang it out but I just said I'd hang it on the airer if necessary! Certainly didn't want to come back to a basket full of washing as well as what we bring back with us next weekend!
Hope you're feeling a bit better today @Jellybaby and @Suffolksue.
I weighed this morning and as expected it was a gain of 1lb! Unlikely to shift that this week and probably add to it as we'll probably be eating out several times and there will be alcohol involved as well but will enjoy what I have and deal with it again when we get home! We've booked for a week but if the weather is OK we're thinking of stopping for a few nights on the way back so could be away for anything from 7 to 10 days! That's one of the things we love about the motorhome it means we can be flexible, although have to say it's far easier in France than it is in the UK!
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - chicken fajita - HEB; P; S
D - Thai fish curry, rice - P; S; F;
HEA - milk
HEB - wrap
Syns - coconut milk 2; curry paste 1
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, flu like symptoms have gone, still really tired but on the whole feeling loads better. Hope you are too @Suffolksue.
Your motor home sounds fab @joedenise I love the flexibility of exploring and staying as long as you want. I’d need a driver though 😁. Boo to the wee gain but you know the plan inside out and will get that, and any holiday gain, off again.
DS snagged TWO veg boxes in Lidls last night! One for me and one for his gran. He sent a pic with the message ‘this will cheer you up’ 🤣🤣. Cauliflower, mango, pack of 3 peppers, pack of small peppers, bag of baking potatoes and a huge bag of carrots.I’ll test tomorrow but even if I’m good to go I’ve decided I’m not going back to class until next week. I really don’t want to risk passing any germs on. I’ll buy the 12 week offer that’s on and hopefully that will spur me on and see me to target.0
