Well done on your loss @HotDog2020. The changes you've made are obviously paying off. 👍 If only we could persuade you to give the full plan a go. 🤔🤣
You're probably right that last night's meal did affect today's WI @Matron_Midge. I always try to have a light, portion controlled meal the night before. It's all part of controlling the variables (same time, same clothes, same food) but England winning isn't going to happen often. 🤣
We're out for lunch today at a country pub I've not been to for ages so no real idea what I'll eat. Will post later.1 -

Evening all 😁
Matron Midge, if it was a chinese more than likely that as they are salty and hold fluid, bet you will have a good loss next week providing you don't eat all the cake 🤣
Well done Hot Dog a loss is a loss 👏👏
Denise, hope dh got on ok.
Mum had Physio today......or should have they bloody cancelled again at 8.50 this morning!! It's bloody ridiculous that's the fourth appointment and she has had 1!! last week wasn't there fault though , it was the medical car. She is really struggling and can hardly walk 😢 She is having a job to get out the door, she uses the back door because i's easier but there is 2 steps and she is finding them increasingly difficult and scraped the back of her leg the other day.
I have suggested a ramp, so she is going to speak to the gardener as he is also a handy man, but i said to her what ever he suggests make sure you have a rail fitted to the concrete path! She has hand rails on the wall which she uses now.
Tuesday is Dad's anniversary 😢😢 where has that year gone?
Weather wasn't looking particularly good this morning, so i didn't do any washing, but after i had taken dh i put a load on as it looked brighter, waited for it to do before i went up the unit and hung it out. When i picked dh up it came over as black as the ace of spades , i said hope it ain't going to rain, we had a few spots on the way home but had been none here but towels weren't dry. I got them in about 5 and almost dry so all good 😁

Looks nice tasted nice, but induced 🤮 I'll be back on the cereal now, perhaps have a sw freindly cereal in future, I can't do omellete, I am going to be hungry this morning with everything thrown up. 😔🤮😔.0 -
Morning all well done on the loss @HotDog2020 it's still a loss, im sure it's fluid @Matron_Midge.
1/4lb off for me this week so that's 2 3/4 lb in 2 weeks so now 9st 9 3/4lb going down slowly, it's surprising how my clothes fit better and I feel slimmer. That said I'm away this weekend to my sons in Leeds so just going to enjoy it and get back on it Monday. Sons booked an Italian restaurant for Sat eve, they are also foodies so... my problem now is what to wear, im setting off at 9 on Saturday so I can have a whole day with them. I'm thinking lots of layers as I feel the cold, I hate that I can't wear sandals for fear of rain but getting fed up of constantly wearing trainers, I'll be walking a lot.
Have a good weekend everyone1 -
It's a loss @Mrbowie.👍🏼 I know it's tiny but that's often the case when you don't have a lot to lose.
Enjoy your day with your son and enjoy the Italian restaurant. I'd eat whatever you fancy but remember that tomato based meals are usually more SW friendly than creamy ones.
My lunch out yesterday was reasonably low on syns. I had pan fried salmon with what they called Mexican rice (spicy with beans in it). They served it with pak choi which was fine but a strange combination. I did have wine though but should be OK (a week to go to WI) as I'm out dancing and driving tomorrow evening so they should balance out across the week.
Sorry to hear you had an adverse reaction to the omelette @HotDog2020 . Was this because you had it before swimming or do omelettes usually affect you? 🤔 They don't have much taste (like plain popcorn) but I find Puffed Wheat the most generous HEB cereal in terms of bulk as they weigh so light IYSWIM. Alternatively, Weetabix as they don't need weighing at all but I'd definitely be adding loads of fruit and yogurt on top.
At last some sun in your neck of the woods @Jellybaby!! It's OK here but rain forecast later.
Hope all went well yesterday @joedenise and that you enjoyed your little overnight break.
Your mum has really been messed about over the physio @bubbs. Hope she gets her appointment soon. Is she still adamant she doesn't want an op? 🤔
I've put savoury mince in the SC which will be ready by dinner time. Only had a couple of carrots left so will add more when I get back from shopping but still need to do a meal plan beforehand.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
L- LO casserole (P,S,F)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), cabbages, broccoli (S)
Syns- weekend wine😊2 -
Thanks @maman for the suggestions. I feel sick when I eat cooked food in the morning but cooked food is the best for diabetes not cereal. I didn't swim this morning (thankfully not sick in the pool!). However on cereal this week I measured my blood sugar which was 6.2mmol so I must have been doing something right even with the cereal (This is the lowest and almost normal result one can hope to have as type 2 diabetes sufferer). Perhaps I will leave the cooked food and stick with cereal, I can work on the other meals still, maybe get the other meals perfected first.
I am saying all these positive things when I am eating cake for lunch, it is the only thing I have in that I fancied. I really shouldn't have bought it. I put it in the shop trolley last minute without too much thought either way it was too late. I shouldn't be doing this with diabetes or my desire to lose weight. and now I feel sick again!! sorry about the sick talk today...hopefully not again for a long time.

Afternoon all, we got home a couple of hours ago after our night away. Didn't have a very restful night unfortunately as DH couldn't sleep because of the pain in his knee but then it's been like that since he came out of hospital nearly 4 weeks ago. I get a bit more sleep at home as he goes into the spare bed after a couple of hours which means I don't get disturbed for 5 or 6 hours. His scan went OK now it's just a case of waiting for an appointment with the consultant which should be sometime next month.
It's a shame you couldn't stomach the omelette @HotDog2020but if that's what a cooked breakfast does to you then probably best not to push it. What cereal are you currently eating? There are loads of cereals you could choose from that would be on plan if that's what you want to have. Alternatively there's no reason why you can't have your current cereal as long as you weigh it and syn the amount you have. You can use your syns on whatever you want to at the end of the day.
It's awful the way your mum is being mucked about with her physio @bubbs and sounds as though she is really struggling at the moment. Hard to believe it's your dad's anniversary - this last year has really flown by.
Really annoyed I wasn't able to get gammon last night and really didn't fancy steak so thought I'd have lemon & herb chicken (similar to the Nando's one) and guess what they'd run out of the chicken! DH was going to have the spicy version so we both had to have another look at the menu and I decided on a grilled chicken breast with Katsu curry sauce and plain rice. DH went with a mixed grill and chips! Don't think I could have managed that! Had a small bottle of prosessco as well - still better than sharing a full bottle of red with DH! Not sure on the syns for it but doubt it was more than 6 syns.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with hash browns
L - water biscuits, light cream cheese (didn't feel hungry enough to have anything more)
D - fish pie, green veg
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a cereal bar or 2 later
Syns - 2 hash browns 4; 3 water biscuits 3; light cream cheese 2
Hope everyone is having a good day.
