Feeling cold is making me feel hungry too, so much so that I decided to have a bowl of soup with my lunch. Fortunately, having cooked gammon twice in the past few weeks, I've got plenty of lentil soup in the freezer.😋 I think I'd be having some before the Spanish omelette tonight @Matron_Midge as it's tipping down with rain here too.   I'm getting fed up of pretending it's summer. ⛈

Glad you've got a courgette from your plant @joedenise, they should come thick and fast soon. I've not planted anything much this year because of all the building work. We've just got a few pots of flowers at the front.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA1 milk for drinks, ham, eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- lentil soup (P,S), cold meat (P), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
    Syns- 0

    Hi all,

All this talk of soup is making me think I’ll do a batch in the soup maker sometime soon. I have a BNS to use up so thinking spicy BNS/Carrot/Lentil maybe? Might do that tonight.

    Today’s food:

    B – fruit n fibre, 0% vanilla yog, blueberries – HEB, 0.5, S

L – leftover roasted veg, lean ham, plums, cheese portion, melon, apple – S, P, HEA

D – SW easy chicken curry, rice – free

    HEA – milk

Syns – 0.5 plus 4.5 for a pack of mini jammie dodgers mmmmm

I’m cooking tonight as DH is picking up his mate from the airport at 6pm. Will also cook my orzo pots for the next two days’ lunches.

The house we liked we’ve now rejected as unbeknown to us there is a development going up with 10 dwellings right next door in the former mill house site. Swale council are still to sign off the plans but I can see this being an issue for us with traffic/noise etc. Back to looking. No news from agent about the 2 that viewed on Saturday but they’ve booked someone else in for this coming Saturday.

You sound so busy @bubbs – glad the business is taking off. How is DH – has he heard anymore about the job situation?

Morning all, it's a bit overcast this morning but at least it isn't raining although it did overnight.  I had the best night's sleep I've had since DH came out of hospital - a full 6 hours uninterrupted!  Definitely feel a bit better for it.

I need to pop out to the farm shop to get some onions as hadn't realised when I went shopping yesterday but we only had one onion left and used that last night.  As we've got curry tonight definitely need one for that - can't have a curry without onion!  Also taking my friend to her Dr's which is just past the farm shop so will go there first and go into the shop on the way back.

It was WI morning today and unfortunately I seem to have put on just over half lb (0.6lb) but no idea why unless it's because I haven't had enough syns again!  Will definitely have to write them down this week to see if that's the problem.  It's really annoying when I was so close to target range last week!

    Today's plan:

B - feta cheese omelette (feta needed using up)
L - cream cheese and smoked salmon bagel
D - butter chicken and rice

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - LF feta (about 10g extra) 1; LF cream cheese 1; butter 5

Does anyone else struggle to have a full 15 syns without adding in alcohol (which I certainly don't want to do every day and have an alcohol problem on top of trying to lose weight!)?

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, yes I’m struggling with the syns @joedenise.  Since reducing/stopping alcohol I have even more to play with! Sounds great having all these syns but if I’m on plan I use very little and don’t want to eat for the sake of it. If I’m not on plan, then 105 syns ain’t going to be enough!  It’s a balancing act that I need to get better at as I know from experience I need to use them or I don’t lose.

I’ve been stuck at home the last few days as the car was serviced and needed a few repairs - hopefully mobile again this afternoon.  I’ve used the time to go through paperwork….oh it was all very neat and pretty in labelled folders but 25 year old bank statements and receipts, really?!!  I went paperless years ago too 😳🤣. Think the shredder is in meltdown 😂

    Today’s food:
    B - strawberries, yoghurt 0.5
L - lentil soup, chicken salad roll HEXB
D - gammon, Boston baked beans, broccoli, cauliflower

    Have a good day everyone.
