I just checked and I've got 2 weeks to go to WI. 🤞 I'll be OK but who knows? 🤔

It's stopped raining for a while now @bubbs but probably not for long. I put my house plants out earlier, just to give them a wash, so that's a positive. 😁

Thanks @bubbs.  Yes it was me who said about it.  I was just wondering if anyone had it and whether it was worth going to a WI later this month for it!  There's a new group started in our local town on a Saturday morning so could possibly make a trip there to get it if it's worth it but no plans to return regularly!

Morning all, it's really bright this morning so have done a couple of loads of washing and got it out on the line to dry.  Hopefully the weather forecast I've looked at is right as it's not showing any rain until 8pm so shouldn't need to put the washing on the airer when I get it in!

I thought I'd actually put booklet @bubbs - it's what I meant anyway!  Assume you haven't seen it yet?  Can you let me know whether it's worth me going to group to weigh just to get it - I suspect it isn't if I'm honest as suspect that the recipes in it will just be repeats of what have been issued in magazines over the years or in the little booklets that often used to come with them!

Those doughnuts look brilliant @bubbs.  Is that the same mix as the overnight oats but with the oats blitzed up and then cooked in a doughnut mould?

I've made a change to the menu plan for today as still have some of the kebab meat left - no idea how as I used exactly the same recipe as last night but it seems to have gone much further!  Last time we got one main meal and one lunch; this time it's going to be an extra lunch.  Think it might be because DH cut it even thinner this time!

    So today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles, pickled onions
L - LO kebab meat, salad
D - pork steak, chips and beans

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but will definitely have something!  Maybe another lolly for 6 syns.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, I have sunshine! Only forecast for today the rest of the week is heavy rain and thunder 😭 Have bedding out on the line and throws and cushion covers currently swishing away. Next load towels.

We get through quite a lot of cold meat each week and like everything else it’s getting more and more expensive so I bought gammon and silverside joints and cooked them in the slow cooker yesterday. I’ve sliced them up and so far have enough of each for two main meals, sandwiches/salads for the week and enough gammon trimmings for a couple of omelettes/pasta sauce.  I also made lentil soup with the gammon liquid 🥳

    Today’s food:
    B - f/f Greek yoghurt, mango, 1 tbsp skinny syrup 0.5
L - ham salad, boiled eggs, avocado - going to count 9?
D - silverside, onion gravy (I use Bovril cubes), potatoes, broccoli, carrots, cauliflower

Might have a Bliss bar 4 syns.

    Have a good day everyone!

I'm with you on the cooked meats @Jellybaby. I get through at least a packet of ham every week just for me. It's my go to syn free snack if I'm feeling hungry. Sometimes I wrap a slice around a spring onion or a tomato but it features in many lunches too.

I cooked a piece of gammon for our main meal the other week and DH was disappointed, when he came out of hospital, that I'd eaten it all. I bought another (a cheap one from Aldi) and it was delicious. Like you, I love lentil soup made from the stock. 😋

I have enough syn free gravy from the HB steak yesterday to freeze for another day with sausages or liver.

It's cleared up here after heavy rain earlier @joedenise. They're starting to put the roof on the extension today so 🤞it stays dry.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- ham (P), LO veg and pickles (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns - 0

I could easily go through a packet of roast beef a day.
