Morning all, missing again for a few days, real life got in the way lol.

Well done to all the losers 🎉🎉 Glad you’re enjoying your work @bubbs and great if you’re DH can help out too if he gets redundancy. I’m sooo happy the opportunity arose and allowed me to take early retirement. No regrets whatsoever!

Well I did what you’re not supposed to do and had a sneaky weigh at mum’s yesterday 🤣 I shouldn’t really as her scales are so unreliable but it was a STS so fingers crossed for WI tomorrow. I put clean jeans on this morning and they are noticeably looser around the hips so somethings definitely moving or firming up 🤣🤣

    Today’s food:
B - w/meal roll HEXB, bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes
L - veggie omelette with pickles, chopped fruit salad
D - chilli salmon, chips, loads of roasted veg

Ive used all my syns hence none above and will be happy when the bank is full again tomorrow!

Well, that's your exercise for the day @Mrbowie! 🤣

Very well done on your loss.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It's not easy when you don't have much to lose. I agree that SW is much better for you than WW. The simple formula (balanced carbs, protein and fruit and veg, calcium, fibre and limited treats) is a much healthier way of eating.

You've done well to lose too @HotDog2020.👍🏼 I thought that you would because of the positive changes you've made. You've recognised where you're not doing well too, now you need to apply the same determination to your eating that you do to your swimming. All is not lost with the cereal, could you not have a huge bowlful but the recommended amount topped up with fruit?🤔 What makes you buy garage snacks and/or chocolate? If you make a special trip to the garage then stay away. While SW doesn't actually ban anything, I find that having large, filling meals is easier for me than having snacks which are gone in moments.

Good luck with the viewings tomorrow @Coxy11. It's interesting that the people who made the cheeky offer are coming back. Hope you don't get too wet on your walking tour and that Bella Italia have something suitable on the menu.

It rained quite heavily overnight here too @joedenise but it's cleared up now. Thank goodness I cleared the washing basket yesterday. I need to do my meal plan and shopping list to go with it for later. I haven't really planned dinner yet as not much fresh food in to use up.

I had some crackers with cheese last night as I stayed up really late until dinner was a distant memory. The cheese was fine as I had HEA left but crackers were not. I need to take myself in hand in the next few weeks especially as I have a few meals out planned.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, 2 fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- Lentil soup (P,S), small JP (F), cottage cheese and spring onions (P,S)
D- (Probably) chicken (P), SW chips (F), garlic mushrooms (S, HEA2), tomatoes and green stuff (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😊

Forgot to say earlier that when I went out shopping yesterday I noticed that our new Aldi will be opening in a couple of weeks time and it's off the same roundabout as Morrisons so will be easy to go into Aldi to do what I can and then round the roundabout and back to Morrisons.  Having said that I'll probably give the Aldi wholemeal bread a go and then I won't need to go to Morrisons as often as that's the main reason I go there unless, of course, I'm picking up a Too Good to Go bag!

Morning all, another wet and windy night and morning although the rain has finally stopped and the sun is trying to come out.  We're off shortly to go and see DD2 at the campsite we went to a couple of weeks before DH's knee operation so we'll have lunch there.  DH has opted for a sandwich but I'm going to have a salad (hoping she's got some ham or something to go with it!).

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - salad of some sort
    D - keema curry, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
Syns - sausages 2; dressing (not sure she'll have any!)?

    Have a good day everyone.

Mother’s scales were correct and it was a STS for me earlier. Just going to keep plodding along, it will come off sometime 😁

Out for lunch this afternoon with a group of friends who think ‘lunch’ is wine and cocktails! I’m going to drive and I’ve no doubt there will be much persuasion to leave the car (I won’t ,wouldn’t dream of doing this). Food will be decided on the spot and I will enjoy it and draw the line.

Food shop is done and menus planned for the week.DS2 is keen to eat healthier. He doesn’t need to lose any weight, put on if anything, but it’s all good sensible choices that will keep me on track too.

Hope you’re all having a good weekend whatever you’re up to. It’s dull and going to rain here - again!

    Hi All,

I hope you are all enjoying the cool weather or is it just me?!

In the spirit of being SW savvy I would like to make rostis Syn free next week, I am ordering shopping but don't know if it is just potato and onion shredded and put together? I am going to make enough for two weeks hopefully so I can have them each breakfast and heat up when I cook the sausages. I need to make lots, I have a food processor so that will help, any other tips would be very much appreciated?

    Thanks all.

STS isn't bad at all @Jellybaby. You're finding a way to manage SW alongside your newfound freedom! 😊 I'm sure DS wanting to eat healthily will help too. 👍🏼

Snap! We're having keema tonight as well @joedenise. I wanted something easy to have between the two matches this evening so a HM ready meal is ideal. Hopefully the England game won't go to extra time so we have time to eat before watching Turkey. ❤⚽

That's a good plan @HotDog2020. I've never made rostis but I'm sure @joednise will advise when she posts next.

I called by the GP surgery to use their scales yesterday. I've lost just under a pound (0.9) so still in range. 😊

I picked up some YS goodies in Sainsbury's yesterday, including some half price turkey mince and chicken breasts for the freezer. Also some prawns so had delicious prawn cocktail on JP for lunch and enough left to have the same again tomorrow. Yum! Yum!😋

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- JP (F), prawns (P), salad (S)
D- keema curry with rice (P,F,S)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, weekend wine😁
