Mrbowie said:joedenise said:Morning all, quite dull this morning and very cloudy. Supposed to stay dry but I'll believe it when I see it after yesterday! Still at least the bedding is dry this morning!
@Mrbowie - if you go to group (can't remember if you said you do!) then you can use the barcode scanner or check in your book or on the website. If you don't go to group then just ask on here and someone will be able to tell you. If you say which SMs you have near you then I'm sure someone would be able to tell if you they're 800g wholemeal is HEB.
DH has an appointment with the consultant this afternoon so it's another trip to the hospital and annoyingly it's a late appointment so likely to hit the rush hour traffic on the way home. His appointment has been brought forward by a month - I think the nurses who have been coming to see him have all been concerned that the swelling hasn't gone down at all in the 2 weeks since his op. He's doing everything he's been told to do but just no reduction in size at all - he still can't get any shoes on! The only thing he can wear is his slippers but at least they're moccasin style so don't look too bad when he goes out!
We'll be picking up a TGTG bag from Morrisons on the way home, after we've eaten. With a bit of luck it will have a few things from my shopping list in it so won't need to buy so much when I go shopping tomorrow.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast
L - sweet chilli noodles
D - eating out - will probably have steak or gammon with salad
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3; salad dressing 1
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Asda wm medium sliced 400g loaf - 2 slices is HEb
Asda we toaste bread thick sliced 800g loaf 1 slice is HEb
Asda exrtra special whole, eat multigrain bread 800g loaf - 1 slice is HEb
That is all I can find for Asda on the app.
Back to it today.
Food looks like this
HEa milk and parmesan
HEb soft wm pitta
B Banana
L soft pitta with tonnes of Torchon ham from Tesco and slices of tomato. An apple and kvarg (0.5)
D spaghetti bolognaise
may have a few snacklets this evening. Mini cheddars/grapes/meringue bar
linch break over - got to fly1 -
Most houses have one bedroom that's smaller than the others @Coxy11, ours certainly does. I think some people just like to find something to criticise. Good luck with the next round of viewings.
I think doing a food diary really helps to stay on track. 🤞🏼 it works for you.
I can understand you having chicken kievs if you've got some in @HotDog2020 but, going forward, you can have a very similar meal absolutely syn free. I'd cook a piece of chicken (thigh or breast), spray with Frylight and sprinkle generously with garlic granules and/or any spice of your choice. That would cook alongside the chips and then with the salad makes a perfect SW meal.
Good to know that Asda do the 2 slice HEB too @Matron_Midge. Personally, I have almost all my bread toasted so, if to have the freezer space @Mrbowie, it's worth stocking up.
Shame about the dress being a bit snug if you really liked it @Jellybaby. Perhaps set yourself your next goal and then try again. How much more would you like to lose? 🤔
That's a good thing that the nurse can bring Joe's appointment forward if she's not happy @joedenise. Hope they come up with a plan.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S), potato (F)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), roast Mediterranean veg and green stuff (S)

Finally got home at 8.40pm having left the hospital at 4.40pm! We were in and out of Spoons in 30 minutes! The rest of the time was spent stuck in traffic and crawling along at 3-4 mph - it was horrendous. The journey usually takes around 45 minutes!
The consultant was really pleased with how Joe's knee is healing and said he'd see him again in 6-8 weeks time and should then be able to discharge him so now it's just a case of waiting for the appointment letter. Obviously he's got to carry on with the exercises he's been given and also elevating the leg and using an ice pack on it regularly.
He has an appointment tomorrow afternoon at the local hospital for physio so it could be he'll get some different exercises to do to add to the ones he's already doing.

Morning all,
Bit cloudy here but still warmish. I ran home yesterday and felt all the better for it. Have googled how to alleviate my hot flush symptoms and will be cutting back on caffeine and alcohol – I drink a lot of tea and have been having (measured) rum n pepsi max whilst Dad was staying – definitely a link there lol.
Dinner last night was SW chicken in red wine tagliatelle – delicious and freeeeeeee! Tonight is a fave of ours – SW burger in a bowl – yummy. I made up two lunches using orzo, red pepper, red onion, sundried tomatoes, crumbled feta and red wine vinegar aka the M&S pot. Works out at 2 syns for the SDT and HEA for the feta. Cannot wait to tuck in at lunchtime. I also have two nectarines and half a melon chopped up - S. I had the horror of eating a fresh apricot yesterday – thought it was a little peach until I realised – at least it was S!! Will go in search of another Lidl box today – none yesterday.
We have had a (low) offer on the house. Will see what gives. Apparently they want to rent it out which makes me sad, but I need to take the emotion out of this. Hard when you’ve lived somewhere 20 years and raised a family there though. We’ve only been on the market 5 days so not rushing into anything.
Glad Joe’s appointment went well @joedenise but OMG to the traffic! Let’s hope it’s not as horrendous today, fingers crossed.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all, very cloudy here too @Coxy11 and it's just started to drizzle so had to run out and get DH's compression socks off the line, fortunately they're nearly dry so just hung them over one of the rads (of course it's not on!!!) so no need to get the airer out.
The traffic out of Sittingbourne up to the big roundabout was right back again so I went a different way home and sailed through. No idea what's going on with the traffic; at least there was a known reason yesterday - down to 2 accidents - one at the junction coming off the motorway and one on the road onto the Island but no idea what it is today as didn't hear anything on the radio so assume no accidents. Only reason I was down there is because I wanted to go to The Food Warehouse and Lidl and they're both in Sittingbourne. Still at least that's the bulk shopping done for the month. The freezers and pantry are full again so it's mainly fresh stuff I still need to buy. I will need to go to the butchers at some stage but will only be buying to use fresh as no room in the freezers at the moment!
After all that sitting in the car DH's knee is really painful today and he didn't sleep well last night so he keeps dozing off and he's now taken himself off to bed for an hour or so before he'll need to get up as he's got physio this afternoon.
@Coxy11 - if someone has put in a low offer for your house to let it out then you can be sure you will get a better offer from someone who want to live in it and bring up a family just as you have. Good luck with the viewings this weekend coming.
Today's plan:
B - fruit and yoghurt
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles
D - sweet and sour pork, rice
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - slice of Screen loaf 3.5; LF spread 2 (was nice but not sure it was worth 5.5 syns!!!)
Have a good day everyone.

You definitely seem to be on top of the plan and enjoying your meals today @Coxy11. Good on you👍🏼, and well done for getting back to your running. Have you got any more treks planned with your sister? 🤔
It's good that you got an offer so soon but certainly plenty of time to receive more.
That sounds like the journey from hell @joedenise. It's bad enough with being stuck in traffic but, as you said, the last thing Joe needed was sitting cramped up. If you'd known you could have lingered in Wetherspoons.🤣
DD gave me a load of tomatoes on Sunday so I'm going to attempt pasta sauce in the slow cooker. I expect they'll cook down very low which is good becasue there's very little room in the freezers.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), 2 new potatoes (F)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA 2 Parmesan
