It's amazing that there's such a huge difference between the mayo types @Matron_Midge. I've managed to get LTL from both Aldi and Lidl recently so stocked up. Another option is to mix it with some Greek yogurt as that works well and cuts the syns down.
Well done on planting up the greenhouse. Home grown Speed food! 👍1 -

I agree with @joedenise, you were right to walk away from that bungalow @Jellybaby . We bought our house because it has great transport links. This suited us commuting for work but also because the girls could get around the city by public transport so we didn't have to ferry them everywhere. They're long flown the nest but we still have all the benefits. The building work we're having done is partly to future proof it for us with the option of an extra downstairs bathroom and bedroom should we ever need them.
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time with DH's mental health @Coxy11. Perhaps getting involved in the house sale will give him a focus. You're doing the right thing to stay in touch with your group. Hope the viewings went well.
That cottage pie sounds really luxurious @Matron_Midge, but the extra syns compared with SW friendly cottage pie sound mind blowing. Glad you enjoyed it though. I never resent syns that I enjoy. I always top mine with HEA cheese and use wine stock cubes for a rich flavour, not the same as your friend's but it helps.
I understand if you've got full fat mayo to use up but the Lighter than Light really is a good substitute at 0.5 syns for a tbsp.
If you're going to make chilli @Mrbowie , I can recommend the Hairy Bikers recipe. I do mine in the SC and it makes about 8 portions.

I adapt it slightly by leaving out the flour (I find it thickens enough without it or sometimes add a handful of red lentils) and using a wine stock cube and adding in extra Speed veg like carrots, peppers and mushrooms or courgettes or baby corn. Lately I've been making a meat free version by adding a couple of extra tins of beans. You can add some cheapo baked beans including the sauce alongside your red beans and something else like chick peas or butter beans etc. I still use beef stock for flavour as we're not vegetarian.
We're having chips tonight as DH ate them in the week with no ill effects. I'm going to do a freezer inventory later too as I'm starting to not trust my current list as I don't think it's completely up to date. We're not sure when the kitchen will be out of action but I want to be sure I have plenty of HM ready meals available.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, eggs (P), baked beans (F)
L- JP (F), keema curry (P,S), salad (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli (S)
Syns- weekend wine😊1 -

Denise, we don't spend no more on lunch as he takes a packed lunch and would have to eat at home 😂 fuel would be no different really as i usually go shops after , collections, they don't have that many on special birthdays.
Lidl LTL mayo is nice, but remember i got 12 bottles from company shop for 30p each so i'm well stocked up 😂😂
Food today,
A bit of freed food at taster, i resisted the sweet things because it would have triggered me for the day.
cheese and ham egg wraps, tomato, water melon

Morning all, another dry but much cooler day although there is the possibility of showers later. I've washed the bedding from the spare bed this morning and that's out on the line blowing nicely. Hopefully it will be dry before any showers happen!
Going to pick a few more gooseberries this morning and take them down to my friend as she loves them and hasn't been able to order any with her online shop. I tried to get some from the farm shop yesterday but they'd sold out - apparently someone bought all they had - I wonder if someone was planning on making gooseberry jam?
Today's plan:
B - fry up
L - burger, onions, gherkin slices in soft pitta
D - roast pork dinner
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - sausages 2
Going to keep the syns low until WI on Wednesday as we had wine last night so definitely more than 15 yesterday!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
It’s defo turned weather wise here. Gloomy dark and damp in the air.
more gardening today. I’ve got pods on my peas but they aren’t filled out yet. Hardly any make it to the kitchen cos I just munch them whilst I’m pottering. French beans are looking poor just now, They need a bit of warmth. My goosegogs are red ones too Denise. I’ve a lot of rhubarb to pull and stew and we will have that with our FF yog.
Todays food looks like this -
HEa milk and cheese
HEb soft pitta
B coffee and banana
L soft pitta with cheese and tuna/sweetcorn/spring onion/Mayo (1) left overs from last nights jacket spuds and an apple
D 2CC’s chicken passanda (3 syns for coconut milk) and rice. Served with broccoli and the curry has edamame beans in it.
Need to get a bit more speed in so might have a pear or some raspberries - home grown and scrummy
Hope the footie ones we’ll for all those of you who enjoy it.
Back to Monday tomorrow, these weeks whip round. I must be getting old.

The weather's changed here too @joedenise , mostly dull and overcast with some rain. I'm feeling headachy, probably because this sort of weather affects my sinuses. Hats off to you getting on with the gardening @Matron_Midge. I don't feel like doing anything much. Hopefully ⚽ will cheer me up a bit but I'm not holding my breath! 🤣
I wasn't even feeling hungry which is unusual for me but did enjoy my lunch so hopefully will feel better by dinner time.
DH had SW chips last night with no ill effects so trying him with a little gravy for the first time tonight. Now that he's pain free, he's ready to experiment with small amounts of fats to see if we can find out what triggers are. He's so pleased with his weightloss though I don't think he'll be returning to cakes and biscuits any time soon.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
D- roast chicken (P), Jersey Royals (F), many vegetables (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊0 -
The showers started about an hour after I put the washing out so I just left it another couple of hours when we got another shower so got it in then and put it on the airer as was almost dry. Will leave on there until the morning to make sure it's definitely dry before putting away. The spare bed has been remade with a lighter weight duvet as DH said the one on it was a bit heavy - wonder if he might regret saying that now it's cooled down!
Sounds like things are getting a bit better for your DH @maman. Hope you can find what his trigger foods are. It's one of those things that you have to reintroduce things one at a time until you find them. Glad he's pleased with losing a bit of weight too.0
