Hi all, failed this week as I forgot I had an event to go to, anyway time to focus.
I thought I might have more success if I do a menu for the week and shop for it.
I'm thinking
Brekkie- ffyog banana strawberry grapes 10g asda low sugar granola 2.5 syns
Lunch- tin tuna sweetcorn 2 Roberts super oaty bread hexb and a satsuma
Dinner- 2 poached eggs sw chips baked beans
Skimmed milk hexA
Possibly use the other HexA on cheese.
How does that look? Thankyou0 -
Morning all, it feels a bit cooler this morning but dry and bright and still fairly warm. Should be a bit more comfortable temperature today!
@Mrbowie - You don't really have enough Speed foods in today's plan although it is still on plan. Both banana and grapes are just Free foods so the only Speed it strawberry. Lunchtime the only Speed is a Satsuma and for dinner you don't have any. There also doesn't seem to be much food at all for the day.
I would also be using some mayo or something with the tuna sweetcorn to moisten it - I think tuna can be very dry on its' own.
Could you add some onions, peppers and mushrooms for example to your dinner to up the Speed?
Are you planning on eating more fruit or something during the day which would also up the Speed. The other thing is that you are very short on syns. Unless you are using a Syn Bank for the week you really need to up the syns a bit - otherwise where are you going to be able to cut back once you reach your target weight? I'm a Target member and really need to have the full 15 syns a day (105 syns for the week) in order to maintain or even lose a bit which is where I'm at currently!
Today's plan:
B - stuffed portobello mushroom
L - eggs on toast
D - minced beef hotpot, extra veg
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - no idea but will find something!
Didn't actually have the syns I'd planned yesterday as didn't fancy a drink or chocolate (what's that about? LOL!) and just had a couple of Biscoff biscuits with a cuppa.
Have a good day everyone.0 -

@Mrbowie I agree with Denise. Speed foods are your friend and really help to fill you up, stop you snacking and (as their name suggests) speed up your weight loss. It’s mad trying to get your head around it but it’s true. If you need a list of speed food, we can supply that for you. Syns are there to be eaten. They stop you feeling deprived and make life lovely.
In the week, I try use mine in meals (sauces etc) and as ONE treat ie crisps which means I always have less than 10 syns but at weekends I have more then 15 asi do like my wine.the essence is that I start my week with 105 and deduct as I go. That’s what we call a syn bank however, it is not recommended by SW.
muggy here, no sun but still warm. Drumroll……….I weighed in……. And lost 1lb. Slow but steady!
I’ve been and done another food shop and I meal planned before I went.
food today
B Fage 0% and banana
L soft pitta with torch on ham, tomato, beetroot and Red Leicester nd an apple
D stir fry veg, chicken mince meatballs in hoisin sauce -has green beans, peppers, onions and edamame beans in it - served with noodles 4.5 syns for hoisin, honey and gochugang paste
Not sure what else I’ll have this evening, maybe another halo top lolly or some mini cheddars.HEa milk and Red Leicester

A meal plan and the shopping list to go with it is definitely the way to go @Mrbowie . It's money saving as well as good planning for SW.
I find pickles are excellent for adding Speed to your plan. I get through loads of beetroot and cornichons particularly. Next to planning, I think having enough Speed (minimum a third of every day's food) is the thing that makes SW work. I know SW doesn't rely on counting calories but it's the Speed veg that has the lowest calorie content as well as the nutrients so excellent to fill up on. I'm assuming you're keeping your syns low to try to offset whatever you had at the event.
It's a glorious day here @joedenise. This morning we went to our walking group and DH coped well as it was a bit overcast so cooler. Since midday the sun has been shining though. I think we've got another couple of nice days then back to rain.
Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk for drinks, berries (S), banana (F)
L- JP (F) tuna and spring onions (P,S), salad (S)
D- chicken casserole (P,F,S), cauli and broccoli (S)
Syns- LTL mayo 1, cornflour 11 -
Hey up all 😁😁
MM well done 👏👏👏 Don;t matter how slow it is if going in the right direction 😁
Much cooler today and a nice breeze thank god, i said i feel like i could sleep for a month 🤣
Oh guess what? another 3 dozen eggs for 50p a dozen, free range too , i don't need to buy anymore i have 7 dozen 🤣🤣🤣written down that seems bloody ridiculous, i could have bought about 20 dozen if i'd have wanted.
We have a taster, i don't want to make crustless quiche but what can i make that's quick with eggs? was going to do scotch eggs but that will only use half a dozen 😂
Food today.......no eggs 🤣
Watermelon
3 crackers 1 syn each, half hexa cheese spread, ham, pickles.
Double burger hexb, half hexa, bns chips and salad.
I'll post the crackers, they are 1 syn each or 6 for hexb, tbf i wasn't overly keen on them , actually might make pate for Saturday and take the crackers, now that's a lightbulb moment, i have chicken livers in the freezer i got for 20p from company shop 😁Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
