Evening all 😁
Maman. so sorry to read that your DH is unwell and has been in hospital and you have missed your holidaywill you rebook or wait until surgery has happened?
Coxy good luck with the viewing , as if you don't have enough going on with the wedding 🤣
Hate to be bearer of bad news but i think those syns are wrong for Mayflower as it changed a long time ago and it is 3 syns a tbsp of powder now. So 45g of powder is about 9 syns i think , i may be wrong but a tbsp is generally 15g
Well i managed to get washing dry today but it's tipped it down from about 4!
I never woke up till 9 today 😱😱
Food today
Picky plate and watermelon, i have discovered a sprinkle of salt on watermelon is lush
"fry up " for tea, LM sausages, tinned toms, mushrooms, 2 eggs, bacon and spoon full of beans, slice toast hexb with butter
Oh got some bargains today, 4 dozen free range eggs £4, huge punnets strawberries 50p, cherry vine toms 20p 😁😁Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Morning all, another dry day today so another load of washing done and on the line to dry. Was going to leave it until tomorrow but the forecast has changed since I looked yesterday! It was supposed to be wet today and dry tomorrow but it's changed to the other way around so taken advantage of that.
That's some bargain @bubbs! Wish I could find bargains eggs like that! We get through quite a few eggs every week and loads of strawberries too at the moment.
Hope your DH is feeling a bit better today @maman and improves a bit more every day. I'm sure he'll thank you for an improvement in his diet if he'll be doing SW along with you rather than only part of the time!
I ended up on about 15 syns yesterday as had another small slice of the HM cake I made! At least it's all gone now so won't be wasting any more syns on that (but did enjoy the cake very much after not eating cake for quite a long time!).
Today's plan:
B - Weetabix, milk
L - tuna salad
D - beef bourguignon, mash, green veg
HEA - milk
HEB - Weetabix
Syns - Caramel bar 6
Have a good day everyone.

Same here @joedenise. It's stayed dry all day although wasn't forecast. I was going to change the bed but didn't bother. ☹️
That was amazing getting a loss when you least expected it. And well done @maddiemay on such a tiny holiday gain. 👍
I called into the surgery again for weekly unofficial WI. I'd actually lost just under a pound (0.9).I hadn't had lunch then so not like for like but I'll take that as have definitely gone over on wine syns this week. My plan is to enjoy the weekend and then get back to normal from Monday. I might make an exception for some of the ⚽. 🤣
DH is a bit better but very tired. Probably because he's been in bed for days, getting up is a shock! The big similarity with his diet and SW is low fat. He can eat any amount of bread and jam but not cheese or cakes, biscuits and chocolate.
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, egg, ham (P), baked beans (F)
L- cold beef (P), vegetable hash (F, S)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P, S, F)
Syns - weekend wine 😁0 -
Morning all, had to be up early this morning (5am!) as DH needed to be at the hospital by 7.30 this morning for his knee replacement op. He phoned me a while ago and said that he's already bored! He's in a single room and not going down for his op until this afternoon as he's last on the list! It drives me mad that they make everyone arrive early and then you're hanging around for hours and not being able to eat or drink! They done exactly the same to me a few years ago - had to be in a 7.30am and didn't operate until 3pm! By the time I came round I'd missed dinner - they served it at 5pm - what's that all about? DH has asked me to pick him up some pies from Morrisons to take in this evening when I visit as dinner is only a bowl of soup and and a sandwich! Certainly not enough when you haven't been allowed breakfast or lunch and nothing to drink since 6.30am!
Glad to hear DH is feeling better, although tired, @maman. I'm sure he'll improve a bit more every day and soon be back to his usual self.
Not planning on doing an awful lot today but want to get rid of some bags from the spare room to the charity shop so will do that shortly and pop into Morries at the same time as they are on the same estate so kill 2 birds with one stone!
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette
L - toasted cheese sandwich
D - jacket potato, beans, salad
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - no idea!
Have a good day everyone.0 -

Hope DH’s op goes well and he enjoys his pies tonight @joedenise 😁
Made WI and pleased with 2.5 off. Now to keep it going! As DS is away for the rest of the week (although he may be home early if last night’s performance continues 😳😭) I can please myself with meals. Quite fancy homemade burgers with onions, gerkhins and loads of salad for dinner. Ive discovered lemon and white choc Bliss bars 😋😋 they’re 4 syns each and much higher than I’d like 🤣 but a nice treat with a coffee early evening as I’m still not having alcohol.0 -

Well done @Jellybaby that's a great loss and well done on still not drinking alcohol.
Thanks @beanielou and @Jellybaby for good wishes for DH's op - he's still waiting to have it! I spoke to him a couple of hours ago and he didn't think he'd be going to theatre until at least 2 o'clock! Really annoying having to be there at 7.30am when they keep you waiting that long. I can see him being really dehydrated as he's only allow 10ml of water once an hour - really don't think that's enough especially as he was told to stop drinking at 6am; that's a minute amount of water in 7 hours.0 -
Well done on your loss @Jellybaby! 👏👏👏 2.5lbs is an excellent result! 👍
I do hope that Joe has gone for his op at last @joedenise. I'm sure he wants it over with.
Funnily enough the same sort of thing happened to me too. I was supposed to go for a minor day patient procedure on a Saturday. I turned up at 7.30am as requested but didn't go down until 12. I'm still convinced they forgot about me.
The problem was that by the time I came round, the Dr had gone home so I had to stay overnight to be discharged. I sent DH down to M&S for sandwiches and crisps, I thought s*d SW! 🤣
DH is a bit brighter today so that's a plus. He goes back to outpatients on Wednesday so we'll see what they say. Luckily for us the hospital is only 3 miles away so can get there easily. He has to go at 7.30am for a blood test then back for his appointment at lunch time.
I'm fed up with hospitals already. I'd rather talk about weather and washing! 🤣
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, banana (F), berries (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash (F), green stuff, mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
Syns - weekend wine 😁
I had some crisps last night from a bag I bought for eating on the plane. Will probably have more tonight. 😋0 -

This really made me laugh out loud (and I spluttered my cup of tea!) but I know what you mean! We always say that they do everyone in reverse alphabetical order as we always seem to be last to go down (our surname begins with! When I had my op about 4 years ago I was last; today DH is last and when DD1 had her op a few years ago she was also last. All of us had ops in the same hospital!
DD1 is on her way over as she's coming down to see DH with me but we're going to have a jacket and beans before we leave otherwise we won't be getting anything to eat until at least 9 o'clock which is far too late!
