Afternoon all, been busy this morning so ended up not having breakfast until nearly 10! Got another load of washing done, line dried, folded and put away. Also did a bit of shopping again as needed potatoes and onions - no potatoes left and only one onion which will get used this evening.
@maman - hope your DH is feeling a bit better today and won't be stuck in hospital for too long.
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash (used up the last couple of bits of bacon)
L - LO kebab meat, salad in soft pitta
D - chilli and rice
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - none planned but we'll see!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
That’s a great achievement only gaining 0.5lb from your holiday @maddiemay!I brought soup in today. The last of the spicy BNS one I made and froze. Had fruit and fibre for breakfast with blueberries and FF yoghurt. Had the soup, small WM roll and some melon for lunch and have a bashed about banana for later. Not sure what DH did to them en route from the shop 😮

I went to Aldi today for a change, I work in what used to be one of the leading supermarkets but getting fed up of shelves being empty!
Anyhoo I shopped wisely got some chicken breast in mango and coconut, same in garlic and herb, light halloumi, 3% fat mince and some protein yoghurts, sugar free lemon cans.
I'm trying new foods out to try and vary things up a bit.
Tonight I'm having egg beans and sw chips x0 -
Thanks for the good wishes. DH is now home from hospital. He's not much better but, at least, we know what's causing the pain. He's got a big bag of medication so he can recover here instead of taking up a hospital bed.
When he's stabilised then we'll see what happens next.
I looked up the suggested diet for someone with gallbladder problems and it's remarkably similar to SW. At least he'll have the bonus of losing some weight! 🤣
I'm sticking to plan as best I can with the bits and pieces I have in. Tomorrow I'll sort out a meal plan and shop properly and then, hopefully, posting will return to normal.
Thanks all. 🤗0 -
Glad to hear that DH is home @maman even if he isn't stabilised yet. It's much better for him to be at home recuperating. Good that the gallbladder diet is similar to SW - at least it will make it easier to meal plan and, as you say, he'll lose some weight in the process!1

Evening all, still trying to catch up but hope your OH is feeling a bit better now he’s home @maman
You’ll have that wee half pound off in no time @maddiemay and it’s grand that’s all after holidays.
Snap at looking at houses @Coxy11! I viewed a bungalow yesterday (snap decision as it was in the right area and price range) but unfortunately just too small. Between this, still feeling a bit rubbish and DS2 getting ready to fly out to Germany tonight for the football, it’s been a bit crazy but I’ve more or less stuck to plan. My jeans do feel looser 🤞
Hopefully catch up properly tomorrow but hope you’re all well.

Some tasty food there @Mrbowie. @maman good to learn that your OH is home, hopefully his condition will stabilise soon, rogue gallstones necessitated my OH having his Gall Bladder removed by keyhole surgery donkey's years ago, he recovered so quickly and luckily not needed to adapt his diet until the last couple of years when his age became a factor,
@Coxy11 your pack up sounded good, nicer to have a selection of things rather than a pile of the same thing. @Jellybaby I hope that things will slow down for you now.
My shopping deliveries are all out of sync after being away, need a top up tomorrow as had last one on Sunday and want to get back to Wednesdays. Spending a fortune on yogurt, fruit, salads and veg, we are both eating so many yummy grapes instead of any sweets or biscuits. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
