I shouldn't look at the food pictures until the morning @bubbs. They always make me feel hungry and I've already had an After 8 and some crisps. 😉

Morning all, it's not quite as bright this morning but at least it's not raining!  Thanks for the heads up about the apricots from Sainsbury's @bubbs; will definitely get some as love them and will make a nice change - not had any for ages.

Took until nearly 11 o'clock last night before DH got to speak to someone with a bit of sense.  The nurse advised DH to speak to our GP so phoned when they opened at 3.15pm and was told the Dr would ring him after surgery!  Surgery finishes at 6pm and when he hadn't heard anything by 6.30pm thought he probably wouldn't get a call until today but the GP phoned just before 7pm and basically just told him to call 111 which is what he did.  He spoke to 3 or 4 different people before getting a phone call just before 11pm from an Emergency GP who has sent a prescription to our local chemist so I'll need to pick that up this morning.

He had a much better night's sleep last night in the spare room as the bed it that much firmer than our bed (I also got a decent night's sleep!).  His knee is still enormous and very red but hopefully once I can get the antibiotics it will start to go down after a day or two and hopefully be less painful.

I do wish we had a few emojis after the posts rather than just the Quote, Thanks and Report!  There ought to be a ROTFL emoji as well as your post made me laugh @maman!

Onto SW matters and my plans for today:

B - breakfast hash (will use up the last of the gammon I got out of the freezer a couple of days ago)
L - pulled pork in BBQ, salad, in soft pitta
D - cold pork, chips, beans, pickles

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - Haven't decided but probably a cereal bar 4

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, hope the antibiotics work quickly @joedenise but good to hear you both slept better .

I will pick up some apricots too @bubbs I’m practically living on strawberries, raspberries, nectarines, mango and pineapples. Oh and I bought a box of mixed tomatoes on the vine from Morries. Not cheap at £4 but soooo delicious!

My friend has a Costco card and invited me along so will be heading out at lunchtime. Any SW friendly recommendations?

Breakfast was a large bowl of chopped fruit with yoghurt 0.5, I’ve chicken salad for lunch (my friend hinted at lunch out so this could move to dinner 🤔).

    Have a good day everyone!

Change of plan already!  DH didn't fancy hash for breakfast and wanted a toasted cheese sandwich so that's what we had.  I included some Speed with pickled onions and picked pink ginger (that's absolutely delicious!).

Only problem now is that we're having soft pittas for lunch.  Which is the lowest to syn as one or the other is going to need synning!  I know the 2 slices of bread are 7 syns so need to know how many the soft pitta will be.

I've picked up DH's antibiotics but he can't start them until 11am as they need to be taken on an empty stomach which the pharmacist said is 2 hours after food and 1 hour before food!  Hopefully the timing will be a bit better tomorrow!

With regard to Costco @Jellybaby just make sure you know the prices you normally pay as not everything is cheap!  I was a member for a year but gave it up as the nearest one is too far away to make it worthwhile.  The only thing I found which was worthwhile was the chicken, although they come in very big packs so unless you have plenty of freezer space they might be too big to buy.

Another thing to remember is that if you buy any non-foods that you need to add the 20% VAT onto the price which can mean the difference between a good buy and a bad buy so just make sure you take your calculator with you so you don't get caught out.

Thanks @maman.  I had a feeling that was the case so it doesn't really matter which one I syn😊.

DH spoke to the GP again this morning and he's been sent back to hospital! by ambulance  He's been seen by the A&E Dr, had an X Ray and now waiting to be seen in Orthopaedics!  The GP was worried the infection in his knee may have gone to the gone into the bone so think it's a bit of "covering his *rse" because he can't be bothered to see him himself!

The paramedic called the surgery to say they didn't think he really needed to go into hospital as the heat in his knee was already reducing compared to how it was yesterday and he's also able to move better than yesterday but whoever it was she spoke to (not the Dr!) said that the Emergency Dr had said he'd refused to go to hospital.  He put her straight on that one - he'd said he had the option of IV antibiotics in hospital or he could try tablets but obviously wouldn't be able to start them until today so he opted for the tablets!

Now it's just a waiting game to find out if I've got to go and pick him up later or whether they're going to keep him in and give him IV antibiotics!

Update:  DH came back home around 7pm and the Dr at the hospital decided he didn't have any infection and didn't actually need antibiotics at all and told him to stop taking them!  I think that's the trouble with Drs diagnosing over the phone.

Still at least he's been seen and back home so he can just continue to recover and find it easier to walk again.
