You've done the right thing @Jellybaby by drawing the line and starting again - well done! Hopefully not too much damage done. Just try to keep the syns low until WI. I think you weigh on a Saturday don't you?0
-
@joedenise great loss and also that you both had a decent sleep.
@Jellybaby I too have had a very mixed week, aiming to go to WI next Tuesday and then away for the next 2, off to N. Wales for10 days, lots to do and see there so should be very active, hoping it will balance the holiday excesses somewhat.
@bubbs I hope that WI today was good for you.
Beautiful day again here, some gardening to be done, but the Hayfever is awful, so may not manage much again Doing battle with a cat from somewhere around, dratted thing comes into the garden every night and leaves me a very unwelcome present each time, quite awful on my gardening gloves and horrid dog now thinks it is a tasty snack - no I certainly don't want a doggy kiss thank you. Just in case @beanielou thinks I am being cruel I am having to cover just dug soil with coffee grounds, upturned flower pots and pruned bits from shrubs, although I would not have ruled out a water pistol if it was a daytime visitor. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Shame about the gain @bubbs, same here but we're still in target. 👍
I gained 3 lbs but I know it's come from wine, chocolates and crisps so can't complain. I did the self sabotage in advance. 🤣
Enjoy your time in North Wales @maddiemay. We loved Portmeirion and Chester is worth a visit and just over the border. 🤞you can keep weight in check (ideally before you go) but enjoy yourself.
I did a huge line of washing today @joedenise, every peg used because I did a few jumpers along with everything else. Hope the physio was useful.
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- JP (F), Bolognese (P, S), salad (S)
D- chicken stir fry with noodles (P, S, F)
Syns - honey 2.5, weekend wine 😁0 -
The physio didn't really do much with DH. It was more chatting than anything else although she did check to see how well he could bend his leg and was really pleased that he could already get it to 90 degrees. He's got a lovely bruise coming up now - think it's going to cover most of the top of his leg where the tourniquet was!
She told him that he could leave the compression stocking off for an hour a day now rather than having to wear them all the time. They are a PITA to take off and put clean ones on - it's also a pain to have to hand wash them! She also told him it would be good if he got out on a flat area (certainly not on our unmade road!) and had a bit of a war around and suggested a trip round the supermarket, LOL!
Sorry to hear you had a gain @bubbs but at least you're still in target. I'm sure you'll shift it this week even with eating a doughnut!

Morning all, weather not as nice this morning as it's really cloudy and a bit breezy. Not forecast to get about 20 today but that's not a bad temperature. Have got a machine load out on the line already and it's blowy well so shouldn't take long to dry.
Am taking my friend to the station later as she needs to catch a train to her sister in law's wedding and public transport from here is dire! Will do a bit of shopping after I've dropped her off. Wouldn't bother except I need some bread as only have a couple of slices left!
Today's plan:
B - fry up
L - brunch hash
D - beef bourguignon, mash, green veg
HEA - milk
HEB - none planned
Syns - may have a G&T or 2 this evening if I fancy it.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning everyone, a STS for me this morning which I’m happy with. Going to do a food diary this week and hand it in. I always have a good loss doing that. I’ve shopped for the week ahead around a couple of lunches out so hopefully all bases covered.
@bubbs @maman you’re both still in target and and know the plan inside out so any weight you want off will be gone next week.
Enjoy your holiday @maddiemay. It must be near to @Coxy11 son’s wedding? Have a fabulous time and enjoy every minute x
Just about to have brunch - bacon medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and a tattie scone 3 syns. Dinner is l/over meatballs with spaghetti and Parmesan. Really looking forward to this!Have a good day all!0 -
Well done @Jellybaby 👏👏👏 a STS is brilliant after thinking you'd have a gain.0

Hi everyone. I’m back from my French sojourn.
well done to all the losers and maintainers and to the gainers, you have my sympathies.
Im in the gain club following a fortnight of bread, cheese, French patisserie and wine with very little on plan food. I have gained 5lb but I have enjoyed every single mouthful.
9 weeks until we go off again and I would love to shift 12lbs. That would get me back to the bottom of my target range.
tea tonight is a cashew (HEb) and chicken curry from PON express. Serving it with broccoli and boiled rice. Tomorrow I’ll have to shop and sort my plan out for the upcoming week.
Weigh in is Thursday so hopefully I shall put a dint in my target and then chip away at it over the next couple of months.
I have washing baking on the line here, it is a beautiful sunny day here. I’ll be trying very hard to say no when hubby inevitably gets some of the wine we brought home out this evening.
catch you all later xx0 -
Welcome back @Matron_Midge. I'm so jealous of your French sojourn! Not been able to go this year unfortunately. Glad you enjoyed every mouthful of your off plan food and drink! Nothing worse than having syns and not enjoying them.
Do you rate the PON Express book? It's one I've thought about getting but haven't so far. I've got loads of recipe books and really don't use them enough. The only one I use quite a bit is a very old SW curry book which I bought shortly after I joined so it must be about 12 years old now! Hardly use any of the others.
Good luck with shifting a bit of your gain by WI on Thursday. You're getting straight back on plan so no reason why you shouldn't.
Didn't have the planned lunch in the end as after I dropped my friend at the station and went round to Morrisons, got my shopping bags our and then realised I hadn't got my handbag! DH didn't have his wallet either so I ended up having to drive back home to get my handbag. DH decided the trip to the station was enough as sitting in my car is too painful for more than a very short journey and went back indoors. I picked up my bag and went shopping so by the time I'd done that it was gone 3pm so I just had a cooked sausage which was LO from yesterday's toad in the hole! Didn't eat the batter though!
Bought some wine when I went shopping so think we'll probably have a glass or 3 tonight instead of the G&T!
