That's good news @joedenise but what drama. Hope you both get another good night's sleep. 😴
I'm still snacking which isn't like me at all but I won't be buying any more. I went dancing tonight as DH was keen for me to go. It was good to get back to something normal.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- LO casserole (P, F, S)
D- keema curry (P, S), rice (F)
Syns - various 🤔1 -
Morning all, hope things have settled now and you both got a decent sleep @joedenise
I wasn’t impressed with Costco. I see why some people like it but for what I usually buy I found it a lot more expensive. I did buy the chicken pack and have split it up for the freezer. Also bought a huge jar of gerkhins! My friend bought some of the six pack of cakes 🙈 no idea why so much but I didn’t succumb much to her annoyance. Now if it had been crisps…🤣
Need to pop into town to the bank and hopefully be back in time for fitness class at lunchtime. Using up stuff in the fridge so today may feature fruit and yoghurt, omelette and salad.
Have a good day all.0 -
Afternoon all, after not being able to go shopping yesterday with all the stuff going on with DH I finally went this morning and ended up having to go to 3 different areas to get everything on my list! Had hoped I could get away with just going to the next town over as wanted to go to Lidl and Sainsbury which are both over there, also the Food Warehouse which was a bit of a waste of time as couldn't get everything I wanted which meant I needed to go to the Iceland in another shopping area and they hadn't got what I wanted either! I managed to get a couple of boxes of YS apricots which @bubbs mentioned yesterday in Sainsbury for 69p each. They were actually £1.25 a box full price not £1 though.
Ended up going into the localish town for Tesco and managed to get the thing I couldn't get from The Food Warehouse/Iceland.
Glad it wasn't just me that wasn't impressed with Costco @Jellybaby! Well done on avoiding the "junk" food your friend picked up! As I said previously the only thing which we found really worthwhile was the petrol/diesel.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, strawberries
L - French bread pizza
D - butter chicken, rice
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - French bread 10; butter 5
Hope everyone is having a good day.

My dancing group has used Costco for event catering @Jellybaby. I can't say I've been super impressed with the quality.
DH has been to the hospital today for blood tests and follow up appointment. Apparently it can take a couple of months for the inflammation to settle but they will definitely do keyhole surgery. I'm pleased about that because I was afraid they'd just put things off until the next time. He's made good progress in the past few days so 🤞🏼 that continues.
Hope Joe's improving too @joedenise. 🤔🤗
I dropped DH off at the hospital and came home via Company Shop @bubbs. None of the brilliant bargains you get but M&S wholemeal pittas were 40p a pack so got some of those.
Interesting what you said about bread @Mrbowie. We all have to prioritise how we use our syns as there are never enough for everything.🤣 Personally, most of mine usually go on wine but each to his own. It pleased me to read in the SW magazine that some people find it best to ban certain things completely as they can't limit how much they have. I though that was realistic. Tonight I'm going to finish the mouthful or so of crisps left that were meant for my holiday. I probably won't buy any more until Christmas. It's strange but I can ignore cakes, biscuits, sweets and chocolate but crisps call to me. 😁 I've had a better week this week but not 100% so I'm sure it'll catch up with me. From next Monday it should be easier as I'm back in my routine.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
L- LO casserole (P,S,F)
D- chicken jambalaya (P,S,F)
Syns- last of crisps and last After8 😁0 -
Just realised I didn't put my weight loss in my previous post! No idea how I managed to forget that I actually lost nearly 2lb - 1.8lb to be exact! That would probably have only registered as 1.5lb on the SW scales. I'm now only 2.2lb above target range so just need to keep going.
With a bit of luck I can get a bit nearer to my actual target or lower before my holiday in mid September! I'll just keep plodding!
Glad to hear that your DH is improving @maman and that they'll be doing keyhole surgery when the time comes. DH is also improving but still in quite a bit of pain and finding it quite difficult to walk but at least he's trying to do a bit more now. I'm sure things will gradually get better but it's obviously going to take time.
He has a physio coming to the bungalow on Friday so hopefully they can give him some better exercises than those on the leaflet he was given!

@bubbs quick question about BNS….do you cover them with foil and roast or uncovered? Then once roasted do you fill with bolognaise or whatever and roast again? I’ve only ever bought pre-chopped ready for soup! But I won the raffle two weeks ago and have one sitting in the fridge and fancy doing something different with it 😁0

@Jellybaby I Start it off in the microwave and then put it in the oven, i then after a while put warmed up spag bol in it and then back in the oven and add the cheese if i wanted it melted over. I always score the cut edge and rub paprika on it and when it goes in the oven i spray with frylight , it goes all caramelised
I don't keep whole ones in the fridge they keep weeks and weeks out the fridge in a cool placeSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1
