Exciting about your holiday @bubbs - where is the cottage?

STS is good @Matron_Midge - wish that was me  :D

Hope the hospital were able to help DH @joedenise x

New house sounds fab @ruby_eskimo and keeping everything crossed for a smooth process xx

I have recently starting running again and plan to run home from work later. It's just what I need at the end of a day in the office. Today I've been on an interview panel for an administrator job. First two candidates - butt-clenchingly awful - honestly it was so uncomfortable, but the third candidate was really good. Three more people to see tomorrow morning.

Lunch was an early soft WM pitta with Philly lightest and lettuce, melon, grapes and a cheese portion. I've also had some rice cakes this afternoon. Dinner is turkey saltimbocca with sugar snap peas. We are seeing IF later at the cinema, looks funny.

We decided to come home for lunch so had a late one.  We didn't have the prawn salad yesterday so we had that today instead.

The consultant has given DH another lot of eye drops - one drop 4 times a day for 4 weeks!  Said he needs to see the consultant who did his original cataract as he is also a corneal specialist which is what DH's problem is.

Just hope the appointment doesn't come through for the same time as is knee op!

STS is good @Matron_Midge. You've drawn that line and stopped piling the pounds on. 👍🏼 I'd be good when you can over the next couple of weeks then try to have a real go at it when you get back from holiday. The weather forecast is awful here for Sunday so a barbecue is probably out. That's a shame as chicken and salad are good SW bets.

Joe seems to be having a lot of problems following his cataract procedure @joedenise. That's so unlucky, hope the drops help. 🤞🏼

It sounds like the house you're buying has had a similar extension to ours @rubyeskimo. We're just two weeks into the building works so I'm envious that most of the work is done for you. We're having a downstairs shower room built but  keeping  the kitchen (the room not fittings) but knocking it through into the new space. The existing cloakroom is going to become my pantry. 😁

I went to WI this morning, lost half a pound and I'm bang on target. 😊 I'm really pleased with that. I'd have liked to leave it another couple of weeks but I know I have things on, starting with a meal out tonight so it wasn't going to happen. It means when I put on my customary half a stone on holiday I'll only have a week or so to lose it when I get back .🤣 I'll deal with that when it happens although I did tell the WI lady she'd be seeing a lot of me in July and August.  😉

    Today's plan-
    B- HEB Weetabix, HEA milk
    L- ham, eggs (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), pickles (S)
    D- tbc

Loving all the new house, extensions and especially the pantry chat!   Well done on the losses and STS.

I love reading your menus @Coxy11 fancy a lodger for a couple of weeks 🤣

Hope the eye drops work @joedenise and the appointment comes through quickly.

Shopping with the parents today which ended up in lunch out and a trip to Matalan as mother decided she needs new towels (we’ll ignore the airing cupboard full 🙄).

Food has been Ok so far. Only had a banana and coffee for breakfast as wasn’t hungry and it was a good old baked potato with cheese and salad for lunch - counting the cheese as HEXA. Dinner is chicken curry with rice. I’ve naans for the others but don’t like shop bought ones so won’t be tempted.

@bubbs, yes DH is having a new knee.  Has his pre op next week, Joint School (!) the week after and then the op just over a week after that.

I'll be glad when all these appointments are over!

He's already doing his exercises twice a day now and has been for the last couple of weeks.
