Forgot to say it was WI day for me this morning and I've actually managed to lose a pound, didn't expect it after the coffee and cake at the weekend! Just need to keep plodding as still 3.5lb over top end of target!!!0

Hello 👋 Long time no post. Life has been...crazy to say the least over the last couple of months and about to probably get a little crazier as we've just sold our house (STC). But there has been some fun stuff too as I took DH to Cape Town for his birthday at the start of the month and we had an epic time.
Eating and exercise has been the last thing on the list when it comes to the massive list of priorities so I've put a little bit of weight on and feeling not great in myself. But drawing a line has meant I lost 2 lb last week so hopefully that's kick starting the healthy habits again.
Today's food has looked like scrambled egg on toast for breakfast, picky salad plate with cottage cheese for lunch and dinner tonight is sausages with leek and cheese mash and mixed veg.
Hope everyone is doing well, I think I've missed at least 30 pages of posts which I don't really have time to catch up on!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Poured with rain all morning, walked the dog with OH and our payment for being such good animal minders was a stop half way for coffee and a shared piece of carrot cake (Syns accounted for), it is by the river and the people sitting by the window saw an otter, they took a great photo of it, the young server was so pleased it had been spotted as not seen by any of them since last December. Coats etc. now drying ready for the p.m. walk.
Been very up and down re: plan this last 2 weeks, quite a few very good days and a few less so, but my scales are showing a wee loss, need to keep going for WI next Tuesday as will be away the following week and would be out of the 8 week allowance.
Sea Bream and steamed veg for supper, may do some rice or couscous to go with mine, have plenty of peppers, tomatoes and spring onions to zizz it up a bit.
@ruby_eskimo your holiday sounds fantastic. @joedenise good news re the WI. @maman great body magic, you too @Coxy11, @bubbs I envy you all the reductions and access to Lidl, nothing like that around here.
The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Good to see you posting again @ruby_eskimo. Well done on drawing the line and losing 2lbs. Your holiday sounds amazing and do tell us about the house move. 😊
At last you've shifted a pound @joedenise. 👏👏👏 Keep Plodding. 😁
🤞 you'll be OK for WI next week @maddiemay. At least you're getting in plenty of Body Magic with walking the dog. 😁
The Lidl box was a huge bargain @bubbs and so SW friendly. 👍🏻
We've been out today as wanted to get away as they were moving the drain away from the house so no drainage/facilities for a few hours. Managed to track down a JP for lunch. Harder than you'd think! 🤣
WI for me tomorrow. As luck would have it I've been feeling really fat today but I know I've had a good week and all I can do is hope for the best.
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
L- JP (F), beans and HEA cheese
D- sausage, mash, peas (F), broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, onions (S)
Syns - sausages 2, gravy 20 -
Good to see you posting @ruby_eskimo and fab news on the house. Do tell us EVERYTHING!
I feel really uncomfortable tonight. Had soft pitta for lunch with cherry tomatoes, melon and a cheese portion. Dinner was tuna pasta bake. Just had a bath as stomach really bloated urggh probably due for something.....will it ever end......
Well done on the losses @joedenise and @maddiemay x
Hoping to run home from work tomorrow as weather looks dry - fingers crossed.Cross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings0 -

Thursday weigh in and I’ve STS. Can’t be cross or frustrated about it as I did go out for tea last night and I had spicy breaded chicken and I think it was deep fried. ‘‘Twas yummy though and it came with a large salad and fries - didn’t eat many as I don’t enjoy the thin chips.
onwards to the coming week and I have a bag of new pots to use up so it may well be Spanish omelette for tea.
Friday we are having friends over for a fakeaway- I’m doing Mongolian beef, general tso chicken, stir fry veg and serving with noodles and rice. We are having it with the friends we go on holiday with and they are both doing SW - he has lost about 4 stone in the last 18 months - 3 weeks til we go so we are all trying to behave. I expect there may be wine though 😂
Saturday is going to be a quiet day for us and then Sunday we are going to another friends house for food - maybe bbq but weather dependant. That will not be SW friendly!
I can only do my best. I’m in it for the long haul.
I’ve got to shop today and I’m going to Aldi for a change and I’ll be looking for LTL Mayo
I’ll be back later to read all your news.

Morning all, just a quick one as having my hair cut shortly and then we are off to the eye hospital as DH is still having problems with his eye after the cataract surgery.
Good to see you posting again @ruby_eskimo. Exciting to be moving to a new house. Is it in the same area, bigger/smaller? please tell all! We're all very nosey on here!
Still haven't been able to get any LTL mayo so have ended up with Light mayo this time. I still have a little LTL left so will keep that for me and DH can use the Light!
Today's plan:
B - overnight oats
L - probably jacket potato or salad (at the hospital)
D - spicy salmon, herby mash, green beans
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - harissa paste 0.5
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Thanks for the warm welcome back. Don't want to jinx things too much but new house is literally a 5 minute walk up the road from where we are now 🤣 We're currently in a 3 bed end-terrace and upsizing to another 3 bed semi-detached but this one has a bigger garden, a large kitchen diner extension and a downstairs shower room. The old kitchen is a huge empty utility room at the moment so we can turn it into the pantry of my dreams, and the old dining room is going to be my office / library 😁. It needs a new bathroom upstairs but other than that it's pretty much just cosmetic stuff. We've got our survey booked in for next week and once that's done and the one from our buyers, it could move pretty quickly as we're selling to first time buyers and what we're buying is a probate sale so no real chain. Just keeping all the fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Anyway back on topic for the thread: went for a run last night and managed 2.5k which I was very happy with. Breakfast this morning was ff yogurt, some muesli (HEB) and blueberries. Lunch is going to be another picky salad plate and dinner tonight is a stir fry for something quick and easy. Need to make a cake tonight for a friend's birthday so must resist licking the bowl!
