Forgot there was also a very ripe avocado - think it might be a bit too far gone to be able to use but soon find out!0

Morning all, the weather forecast for the rest of this week is looking good so will be able to get more washing done when needed (not enough in the washing basket at the moment after the 6 loads at the weekend!).
Need to go and do some shopping but at least I was able to cross fruit off my list so it should be a bit cheaper than it would otherwise of been. No meat needed either as have the MuscleFoods order coming tomorrow. May well need to dump some of the bread to fit it all in and DH has also said to dump the choc doughnuts as the one he had wasn't particularly nice - wish he'd told me yesterday so I didn't freeze the others!
Today's plan:
B - toasted ham and cheese sandwich (from the TGTG bag)
L - stuffed peppers
D - butter chicken, rice
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese in sandwich
HEB - bread in sandwich
Syns - extra bread, spread 10?; butter (in curry) 2.5; extra cheese (for topping pepper) 4
Looks like I'm over again but had a couple of very low days over the weekend so should even out. I'm sticking to Wednesday for my WI day so will reset my Syn Bank from then.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning, raining at the moment but hoping it will be like yesterday and brighten up into a lovely day mid morning.Had an unexpected lunch out yesterday but stuck to baked potato and tuna (again!) with salad. This seems to be my go to these days but I really enjoyed it. I’ve counted 6 for any mayo, don’t know if this is too high or not enough 🤔
Heading out shortly to a local garden centre for a browse. A couple of ex-colleagues gave me a gift voucher when I retired and I’d like to get a couple of standard roses in nice pots that I can take with me if I ever move.
Today’s food:
B - fruit and yoghurt 0.5, HEXA milk for coffee
L - veggie omelette, pickles
D - prawn salad, counting 3 for dressing, will know better once I make it!This leave HEXB and second A if I want anything else.
Have a good day all!0 -
@Jellybaby - I suspect that that it would probably be higher for the mayo as it was probably full fat which is 5 syns per Tbs - it's quite possible that it would actually be your full day's syns if not more depending on how much was used! It's one of the reasons I usually have been with a jacket or just have a steak and salad!1
-
Arrrghhhh thanks @joedenise I never even thought about it being full fat! I’ll count 30 😳😳 for Sunday and yesterday. And yes, in future I will have steak or chicken and salad. Thankfully I’ve been keeping syns low so should have enough.1
-
Eating out is a bit of a minefield @Jellybaby. Who'd have thought a tuna jacket could be made so synful! Probably baked beans is the most SW friendly option.
I've never bought from Musclefoods @joedenise but supermarket meat takes up much less room in the freezer after I've portioned it up and taken off their packaging.
Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, egg (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S)
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- Austrian ham hash (P, S, F), broccoli and cauliflower (S)
Syns - brown sauce 10 -
Morning all, definitely not as bright and warm as it was yesterday morning but at leat it's dry. Have done one machine load and got it out on the line - was mainly towels and tea towels. I'm also doing all the door mats from both indoors and the motorhome which will be 2 more loads. One lot in at the moment and the other will go in as soon as that's finished.
I've not ordered from Musclefood before either @maman but thought I'd give them a try as from what I've heard the meat is good and very lean but we'll see! I agree that stuff takes up much less room in the freezer once it's portioned up and I'll need to do that with the meat I've ordered as most of the packs are bigger than we'll use! It comes vac packed so I'll probably vac pack it again as it definitely means the meat takes up less space in the freezer. Just hope I've got enough space for it all!
I think I probably had some water retention when we came back from holiday as I've actually managed to lose about 3lb since Saturday! I never normally lose that much in a week yet alone in a few days! I'm still quite a long way over top of target range (about 5lb but I was already 2lb over before we went away!)
Today's plan:
B - avocado and eggs on toast (was only about 25g of avocado each which I could save out of the TGTG bag!)
L - chicken drumstick salad
D - pork steak, mash, green beans, peas
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - 25g avocado 2; may have a cereal bar later too for 3
Have a good day everyone.0 -
I remember when @lushlifesaver used to post about Musclefoods. She bought their meat regularly because her then DH needed lean protein and she found it good quality and value for money too. 🤞🏼 you'll be pleased with it @joedenise.
I think water retention is common after flying but who cares as long as the scales are going the right way! 👍🏼
It's dry and bright here this morning. The place seems to be crawling with diggers, drills and dumper trucks. Yesterday they took down the conservatory, today they're digging up the base. It's not too noisy at the front of the house but I may be forced out to the shops later! 🤣
We're out early this evening so it's a quick freezer meal for us.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (S)
L- LO ham hash and pickles (P,S,F)
D- Keema curry (P,S,F), brown rice (F)
Syns- none planned0 -
@maman - at first glance not that impressed! The Extra Lean Minced Beef has far more fat in it than Iceland's frozen 5% minced steak! The sausages aren't sausages at all - they are chipolatas. The only thing that looks good is the gammon joint which I'll be cooking on Sunday when we get back. Will be trying the pork sausages and the burgers over the weekend so will know after that if they're any good.
Time will tell as to whether we'll be using MuscleFoods again!
Hope you can manage to keep away from all the noise and if you do go to the shops you don't spend too much.

STS for me this morning. Have no reason other than a really “normal” week where I didn’t measure every HEa or write syns down. I will be doing that this week!Local farms have started up their wonky boxes again so we shall be getting ours over the next day or so. I love getting them, the surprises there are in there plus I try to be creative so I don’t waste a thing.
happy Thursday x0
