Morning all, another grey, dreich day here. Dentist this morning then a leisurely hour or two spent getting my hair cut and highlighted this afternoon. Can’t wait, love going to the hairdresser 😁

Soup session went well and thinking I may have another cooking day at the weekend to make stew, a chicken curry and the usual bolognaise and chilli for the freezer.

    Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette, banana, raspberries, Kvarg 0.5
    L - lentil soup
D - chilli salmon, potatoes, spring greens, roasted carrots, tomatoes

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, it was a bit grey and wet here this morning but has since brightened up and is quite sunny at the moment.  Don't think it will stay that way for long as it's forecast to rain later.

Arm is still very sore from the jabs yesterday and didn't sleep very well due to it!  Needed to go shopping this morning as run out of fruit again!  Will need to pick up a couple of bits tomorrow as Tesco didn't have a couple of things I wanted so will pop into Morrisons to see if they have them.

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk - HEA2; HEB
    L - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - LO gammon, frozen chips, fried up LO butternut squash - P; S; 6

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
    Syns - frozen chips 6

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hey up all!!

We had a lovely day yesterday in Shrewsbury, even took my coat off and left it in the car!

Today we went back to Kidderminster as saw a shoe shop on Sunday that i thought i'd be able to get a pair of shoes  from for my awkward feet 😂  ( i did a pair of ankle boots £109!!) but they should last a long time, such soft leather.

Was lovely we sat outside and had lunch, no coats, got back about 4 and it started tipping it down.

We have slept so well here, not woke up till nearly 9 😂😂

Maddie, i can't believe how cheap parking in Ludlow is, but makes up for everywhere else 😂 good news you have been signed off. Have a lovely holiday, where you going?

We are thinking of going Worcester tomorrow, weather is supposed to be better Thurs and Fri and we are hoping to go safari park one day and Ironbridge the  other day

@Jellybaby I hope you enjoyed your haircut, nice to be pampered a little.
@joedenise we get our jabs end of the month, hope your arm will be better soon.
    @bubbs new boots - lovely
I'm another one with awkward feet, makes buying footwear expensive, but easier to find comfort and appealing boots these days.  Glad you are getting some nice lie-ins to catch back after your busy lives.
@beanielou I am sure we can get back on track before too long.

Morning all, we had quite a thunder storm last night and don't think I've heard the rain as heavy as it was last night - it was coming towards our bedroom window so made it sound worse I think!  At least it's not raining this morning but it's still quite windy.

Need to go out this morning as I have a waxing appointment in town and also need to pick up a couple of bits from Morrisons that I wasn't able to get in Tesco yesterday.

You have to look after your feet @bubbs so spending a lot on boots that fit is the right thing to do.  I also have problems finding shoes but it's because I have small feet, only size 3, and a lot of ranges start at size 4!  There are often size 3s in kids shoes but obviously not suitable for someone in their 70s!

@maddiemay - the arm feels much better this morning but it was still a bit sore to lay on last night so woke me up a couple of times when I turned over!  Ended up getting up at 6 this morning as couldn't get back to sleep after I'd got up to go to the loo!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - HEB; HEA2; S
    L - mushroom omelette, salad - P; S
D - sweet and sour pork, rice - P; S; F (using up some LO pork from the freezer)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - none planned

    Have a good day everyone.

That's good news about being signed off at the fracture clinic @maddiemay. Enjoy your holiday and then get back on plan when you return.😊

Those boots sound lovely @bubbs. I know they're expensive bust just think of all the money you've saved with not having to pay for SW and all your grocery bargains! Less than 6 months of staying  at target would easily pay for the boots. 😁

I don't know if it's your thing but, when your in Ironbridge, Blists Hill is nearby. I think it's well worth a visit.

I've used a gammon recipe which is part baking and boiling @joedenise so you get the best of both worlds. I only use it on high days and holidays, like Christmas, but it does have the benefit of the ham stock and I suppose you could use any glaze you like.

I love being pampered too @Jellybaby, whether it's the hairdresser or pedicure or whatever. The nail place I go to has those massage chairs which is brilliant. This afternoon I'm having my eyebrows waxed and tinted and I could easily fall asleep when I shut my eyes. Can't say the same at the dentist! 🤣

I didn't manage to post yesterday but I did stay 100% on plan. I'm surprising myself how well we're eating considering the very limited facilities. It has helped that I batch cooked loads of ready meals in advance. 👍🏼 We have eaten out a couple of times but that was social not just to fill us up! 😉

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP(F), tuna (P), salad (S)
    D- veggie chilli (P,S), rice, (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- LTL mayo 1
