Sorry misunderstood your previous post @bubbs. Your mum has definitely had a busy week, no wonder she's knackered! I try not to use my dryer unless we get a week of wet weather when it becomes impossible to get everything dry on the airer! Haven't had to use it at all this year but will if the weather gets very wet for several days in a row then I will. Planning on getting some more washing done tomorrow as it's supposed to be dry but we'll see!0

I had a lovely ham salad for tea

Afternoon all, another busy morning! Load of washing done and hanging out on the line. Need to check the forecast for tomorrow and if it's going to be dry again I'll get another load done this afternoon ready to hang out first thing. Would also like to change the bed although that can wait until the weekend if necessary.
DH had a blood test this morning and we also finished the shopping. Bit annoyed as wasn't able to get the whole salmon which had been on offer in Morrisons as they still hadn't got any in and it looks as though the offer has finished. Will have to make do with the frozen stuff I've already got in the freezer. Also got to the butchers and spent nearly £50 in there as well but hopefully shouldn't need to buy any more meat this month and most of next month with what I bought the other day in The Food Warehouse.
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - cheese on toast, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S; F
D - butternut squash and chickpea curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned
Hope everyone is having a good day and the weather is as nice as it is here.0 -
The weather was glorious here this morning @joedenise but a bit overcast this afternoon. Like you, I'm hoping to do some washing later to get it out first thing tomorrow. I'm just hoping the builders don't take the WM away as that and the sink are the only things left in the kitchen! 🤣
We went out with our walking group this morning. One of the group had a big birthday this week and brought a huge cake to have with coffee. Thoughtfully, he'd also provided fruit so I had an enormous conference pear. 😇 Just as well as a bit low on Speed for dinner.
Shopping day tomorrow so the Speed shortage will be sorted then. 😁
Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, berries (S), banana (F), HEA milk
L- tuna salad (P, S, F)
D- sausage, mash, baked beans (F), onions, mushrooms (S)
Syns - BGTY sausages 20 -
Evening all 😁
Been glorious here today but was really cold this morning 4 degrees!
Good offer coming at Sainsburys

About another 5-6 weeks @bubbs.
WM is still here, so it's on now ready for the morning. 👏 Fortunately DD1 lives about a mile away from me so she'll take in washing when needed. 👍
Saying about your mum's tumble dryer, mine isn't that old, probably about 15 years as is the WM. DH has been badgering me to buy new but I'm working on if it ain't broke don't fix it. It's going into a laundry cupboard so I don't need an integrated one.
Seeing your dinner reminds me that I could do sweet and sour as doesn't need an oven. 👍0 -
Oh that's good DD not far away 😁😁
Yes if it's still working keep it!

Morning all, sorry AWOL again 🤣 I’m making good use of my 60s bus pass and was off on another jaunt up north of Scotland 😁 stayed in a wee flat so was in control (mostly!). Totally needed the break and feel refreshed and ready to go again.
Had dry, sunny but bitingly cold days. And typically now I’m home with washing to do it’s grey and ready to pour down 🙈
I’ll be pleased if it’s STS tomorrow at WI. Just about to have some fruit and yoghurt then it’s off to herd up the parents for shopping - shock, horror a day late and upsetting routines 😉😜. Dinner tonight is my absolute favourite; meatballs, spaghetti with Parmesan.
Will catch up later on all your news but hope everyone is well. Have a good day!0 -
Morning all, it's another nice bright day so managed to get the bedding washed. That is out on the line along with the load I did yesterday afternoon. The weather is actually much better than was forecast as it said it was going to be grey and cloudy but it's far better than that. No plans to go out today. My sister will be ringing at some point this morning but not sure what time so that will be an hour out of my day!
Glad you had a good break @Jellybaby and are feeling refreshed and ready to get back to plan. Good luck for WI tomorrow.
I weighed this morning and pleased to say I've lost nearly 2lb this week - it was 1.9lb which is a big loss for me. Hopefully I can lose the rest over the next couple of weeks as there is only 2.1lb left to go to get back to top end of target range! Would really like to at least get back to my actual target weight so 5.1lb - would like this by Christmas so I have a bit of leeway for Christmas and also for my holiday in early January!
I'm planning on making some leek and potato soup this morning which we'll have for lunch and hopefully they'll be a couple of portions to go in the freezer. I put 2 x 2 portions of curry in from yesterday plus a single portion of rice.
I've also got some beef and stew veg so going to make a stew which we'll have tomorrow night and the rest will be frozen for later in the month. I'm going to add some wine to it along with the usual red wine stock pot and beef stockpot so we'll drink the rest of the bottle this evening!
So today's plan:
B - breakfast hash - P; S; F
L - leek and potato soup; bread - HEB; S; F
D - baked salmon, roasted veg, air fried cubes of potato - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - wine
Have a good day everyone.
