Morning all, it's completely different here weatherise this morning, lovely and bright with some blue sky. Will be leaving to go to hospital with Joe in about half an hour. He has a follow up following his AAA operation just over a year ago. Hopefully the consultant will reduce these appointments to annually rather than 6 monthly - it was what he said when we saw him last time - as long as the aneurysm has shrunk some more.
I weighed this morning and pleased to say it was another lb off - totally unexpected after eating out and drinking this week! Just over a lb to go to get back to top end of target - hopefully I can do that before we go away in the motorhome next weekend.
Today's plan:
B - sausage, bacon, mushrooms in soft pitta - HEB; P; S; 1
L - spicy carrot and lentil soup - P; S; F
D - lamb tagine, couscous - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - soft pitta
Syns - sausage 1
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, typically it’s very wet here 🤣Have a lovely holiday @Matron_Midge . Hope your DH’s hospital appointment goes well and woohoo to the pound loss @joedenise
I’m going to a wedding tomorrow and away from lunch time today. It will mostly be hotel food until I’m home Sunday. Fingers crossed there’s plenty of fruit and salads on offer! I hate the pastries and beige stuff usually served up.
Have a lovely weekend everyone 😀0 -
Just back from DH's hospital appointment and the consultant is really pleased with how well DH's aneurysm has shrunk - far more than most peoples usually do particularly within a year. He's decided the next scan will be in a year's time so he'll see the consultant probably around the end of next year so all good news.
He's also told DH to contact DVLA and send a letter to him re the medical for his C1 licence renewal to tell them that he doesn't think the stress test is necessary as the AAA is nearly back to normal size now he's had the repair op done and that he hasn't got any heart problems and that he'd be happy to complete the necessary forms. So 🤞that actually happens (I must admit I was very concerned about him having an injection to make his heart race far more than it would in real life which is what is needed with the stress test!).
Enjoy the wedding tomorrow @Jellybaby and good luck with the food on offer. You can only do your best with what's available.0 -

Thanks @bubbs. Photos are brilliant - that zebra photo looks like you were really close to it! Looks like you're having a great time. Are you home tomorrow?
Unfortunately DVLA aren't playing ball and are still insisting that Joe has the injection but at least they've agreed that he can get it done at the local private hospital. He's spoken to them this afternoon but unfortunately the secretary to the consultant he'll need to see was on leave today so he's got to phone again on Monday and speak to her to make sure that he can do it and then get back to DVLA so that they can send the necessary paperwork to her. Apparently once she gets that she'll be able to sort out an appointment for it to be done. Why is everything so time consuming?
