Morning all – very wet here but probably not as wet as other parts of the country. Hope you’re okay @bubbs? Food looking lovely as always!

I’m sure my DH would love to be hired out as a SW chef @Jellybaby! He does like to cook bless him. Glad your DDad is back home and okay x

Well done on the loss @SingleSue but sorry things have been tough for you this week. Take time to be kind to yourself x

    @maman – I too had chocolate last night, because……

……I had a WA message from my  consultant on the social team chat. We have two sessions on a Saturday, and I have been volunteered in my absence to run the 7.30am session with a quiz from the app. I no longer have access to the app so now I’m really anxious about going tomorrow as won’t be able to practice first and will also be running Pay. There will also be one new member (GP referral) to deal with – we have a video link to share with her. Apparently we will all be rewarded with a box of the new gingerbread hifi.

I have managed to shift another 1lb so far this week. Now 4.5lb outside of target range and 7.5lb over actual target. All going in the right direction. I also achieved a good 5k time last night – bought new running shoes at the weekend after having a gait analysis, and they felt good.

    Food today:

    B – blueberry wheats, blueberries, mullerlight vanilla – HEB, S, 0.5

L – rice pot (brown rice, pickled red onion, gherkin, pickled red cabbage, edamame beans, feta, soy sauce), melon, HG tomatoes, apple – F, S, HEA

    D – chicken supreme and rice – F

    HEA – milk

Syns – 0.5 – may have a small glass of wine later to bump this up

    Have a good day all.

    Coxy

Morning!   Food looks absolutely delicious Bubbs!  I too love the containers. I must try that out on DS2 🤣

Well done on the loss @SingleSue especially with everything going on 🎉

I’m a tired Jellybaby this morning. Mother had me run ragged yesterday searching for ‘the list’ of books she’s either read or wants to read and the authors she frequently adds to. My brain pinged at 3am that I’d emailed it to myself from my old work laptop before I left and of course, I had to get up and check my phone 🙈 I found it and emailed the file to her so she can now take charge of it! This will be fun 🤣

Food wise I’ve had some fruit and yoghurt and may snack on more fruit and have an early dinner. Probably chilli from the freezer with rice and salad. I’ve a funeral over lunch time but don’t intend to eat anything.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon all 😁

Yes i am fine thanks,  you wouldn't believe all the rain we had for 15 hrs and been beautiful since, lets hope it's done with now, but still all what comes off the land and down the river  🙈 Still like a river on the main rd out of here, but it's cold and windy , can put up with that as long as it's not hissing it down! Might even be a frost tonight which will make the morning interesting 🙄

Coxy, so have you got to run the session? Where is the consultant and why no cover? I wouldn't run group, no way !!

Jelly make some time for you, so much for retirement hey?!

I agree with @bubbs ,that's an awful lot to take on for a box of Hi-Fi @Coxy11. I think relief consultants are harder and harder to find these days but that's a bit much. I'm sure you'll get through it fine but that's not really the point. We've had a similar discussion before where groups seem to 'reward' the social team differently in different areas. I think it's something SW need to look at as groups, especially huge ones like yours, would find it impossible to function without the social team of volunteers.

You've had a lot on your plate with your parents this week @Jellybaby but don't forget to enjoy your retirement too. You did well to move the shopping day and now put the responsibility of the reading list back to your mum. Keep it up!👍🏼

We've been out to lunch today. The food was good and freshly cooked, probably a 'could have been worse' meal as far as SW is concerned. I had figs wrapped in prosciutto with blue cheese to start followed by sole with prawns in a sauce and plenty of fresh veg on the side. Others had a syrup pudding and custard after but I passed on that!

Morning all, beautiful blue sky here but it’s perishing cold 🥶

I went to group. Ran Pay, sorted 3 new members but roped another ST member into doing the quiz/awards. Yes it’s a lot for a box of gingerbread hifi that I may or may not like. No relief consultant was organised as our consultant said we did such a good job last time. Lesson there. Plus she doesn’t lose out on income….

I didn’t weigh - will leave it a couple of weeks and see what I can lose. Can’t stay next week as I’m on a walking tour in London.

That starter sounds amazing @maman. I couldn’t finish my SW chicken supreme last night - too big a portion dished up.

We are at friends later - going to a gig and staying over so there will be body magic dancing but also curry and alcohol! It is what it is!

    Have a good day all.

WI, lost the gain from last week plus a friend so 2lb off this week 🤗

This week has been very stressful at work, was moved to support in another class which I love but the person I replaced isn’t happy with the move! We were quite close but now it’s really awkward & I’m being blanked 😳. There is also no-one at present to replace me so I am effectively trying to support in both classes which is leaving me feeling 🤯 but hey they think I’m superwoman 🏋🏼‍♀️ 😂.

Today I’ve tried twice to engage my ‘friend’ & I can see the messages have been seen but no reply. It’s really upsetting 😢.

Anyway trying to focus on my good loss & that the sun is shining even if it’s not that warm. Still hoping to get washing dried!
Have a good weekend all 🤗

Well done on the loss @TakeItEazy.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Obviously, it's not your fault that you've been moved to support another class. Surely your friend didn't expect  you to refuse? Maybe she feels slighted in some way but that's management's doing not you. You've tried to reach out so hopefully after a cooling off period and some thought she'll come round.

I'm sure you're pleased that's over @Coxy11. It won't be your problem after you've moved but I'm sure the money taken today doesn't equate to a few boxes of cost price HiFis even with the SW cut taken out. I think it's a bit of a cheek. Enjoy your evening and then get back on it tomorrow. 😊

I looked up a recipe for figs with blue cheese and it would be really low syn to make at home. Each slice of prosciutto is only half a syn and if you used a blue cheese that was HEA then it wouldn't be more than a couple of syns.

I'm drawing a line under yesterday. After lunch out DH fancied a sandwich later and I joined in. It was only 6 for a sandwich thin plus a scrape of mustard but not like me to have extra bread at all.

I'm out dancing this evening with a shared supper. I'm taking fruit (pineapple and mango) so hoping to eat some of that and any other low/syn free offerings available. I've had a SW breakfast (fry up) and have a tuna JP planned for lunch but we have plumbers here so I'm waiting for them to leave before I try to prep anything.

Afternoon all, we're. back from holiday at last!  It's seemed a long fortnight to be honest - definitely not our sort of holiday but DD1 and her partner loved it!  Great place if you're happy to sunbathe all day, jumping into the pool to cool off from time to time and then drinking all afternoon and evening followed by more drinking and dancing at the nightclub!!!

We like to get out and about and walking but there wasn't really much around to walk to so we got pretty bored and spent quite a bit of time in our room watching TV or reading - could have done that at home.  Definitely not somewhere we will be returning to but at least it's another country ticked off for visiting!  Have decided that in future if we haven't visited somewhere before we'll only go for a week not a fortnight!

Food wasn't very good either.  The only things that were hot were the fried eggs and omelettes in the morning as they were cooked to order so I ended up with omelette every morning for breakfast!  Was good with having Speed but everything cooked in plenty of oil!  Weighed this morning and haven't put on quite as much as last time - only 4.5lb rather that the 7lb last time!  Hopefully I can shift that over the next 2-3 months before the next holiday beginning of the new year!

Have managed to get 2 loads of washing done, dried and put away; 3rd load is on the line.  Only about another 6 loads to go, LOL!

Only read the last few posts.  Well done on your loss @TakeItEazy.  Sorry work has been stressful for you and your "friend" blanking you - as @maman said it's management's doing not yours.  Hopefully she'll come round so things aren't as awkward going forward.

Your meal out sounds just my sort of meal @maman.  Both courses sound great.  Could definitely do that starter at home quite low syn as you say.

    Back on plan today:

B - bacon and sausage in soft pitta - HEB; 1
L - LO chicken kebab, salad (had to buy some salad as wasn't enough LO!) 6
    D - keema curry, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
Syns - oil/marinade on chicken 6 (was very greasy!); sausage 1

Looking forward to eating some decent food now!
