So sorry to hear your news Bubbs.

I think the weight loss is showing its positives. Last time I went to physio (after a diagnosis of arthritis in my hip), I started just weeks after joining SW (I think I had lost something like 8 or 9 lbs) and I was told it would be a waste of time referring me to the ortho people at the hospital because of my weight, he said that without even checking my weight and just by looking at me and then confirmed it after he had checked my weight. Today, there was no questioning of my weight and he is doing a referral, he didn't even check it to see if I was within referral margins.

I'm over 5 stone down now from that original physio start appointment, dropped several sizes but I still see me as this big blob as I still have some way to go before I can be classed a 'normal' weight, so it is strange for me to be treated like a normal sized person.
What is annoying, is that during my time of those original physio sessions for my hip, my weight dropped dramatically but despite getting pretty close to the magic figure, a referral was never mentioned or done and then I was discharged Even more annoying despite the original referral being due to my hip, it was only mentioned at the first appointment and then the next 9 months was spent dealing with my back!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

    Morning all,

@bubbs so sad to read your post. I really hope your DSis can get her meds checked and thank goodness for Mind and their work in helping her. Not surprised your DMum is in bits. Make sure you look after yourself too. Remarkable that you’re still on plan, but hope it’s helping you focus. Big hugs xxx

Glad you’ve now had a referral @SingleSue. You’ve made such good progress. It’s difficult sometimes to get our heads around being a smaller size.

I’m still recording on my food diary. Thinking I’m not eating enough so today I’ve bought satay sticks (3), roasted veg cous cous (3?), mango pot, pineapple pot, banana, HG tomatoes for my lunch. I’m running home provided the rain isn’t biblical. Dinner is peanut butter chicken pasta.

I need to pack tonight for Crete – luckily no bosses today so I’m typing out my packing list!!

    Have a good day all.

So sad to read your news @bubbs it’s good your sister is getting some help. Take care of you too 🥰

Good you got the referral @SingleSue

The Estate Agent’s visit has only given me more to ponder 🤣 any move is to downsize and future proof but I have some serious thinking to do.

I can’t find a link for the bean recipe so will take some pics and get DS to add them as I’m hopeless at this. I’m not overly fussed but he likes them and it makes a huge batch so more tubs in the freezer.

Shopping this morning with the parents then our usual wee lunch out so another baked potato or gammon steak on the cards. Dinner tonight is chilli with rice.

    Have a good day everyone.

Thanks guys, the only issue is that the referral is for my shoulder and not my hip....still no further forward on that one and it appears to have been completely forgotten about.

Bit of back story, had a fall at the end of June, x ray last month showing no fracture but uncovering arthritis in my shoulder. Referral for physio for arthritis and also in case there is damage from the fall that could not be seen on an x ray.

No idea what's happened to my post that I did this morning!  Must be in cyberspace somewhere!!!

So sorry to hear your news @bubbs.  So glad your sister contacted Mind and referred her to Dr to get her meds changed.  Hopefully things will improve for her and for all of you.  Look after yourself as well as your mum and well done on staying on plan.

It's horrible here this morning.  Been raining and still very grey.  Wouldn't be surprised if we get more!  Still at least I won't need to go and water the garden!

    Today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions
L - crabstick salad (DH is having his in a sandwich)
D - Air fryer Honey Harissa Salmon, with sweet potato cubes, chickpeas and courgettes (Slimming Eats recipe)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - olive oil 2; 0.5 Tbs Harissa paste 1.5?; 0.5 Tbs honey 1.5

Not sure of syns for harissa paste so guessed it's 3 per Tbs.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • @bubbs I’m so sorry to hear about you sister.
Im back from my hols where I managed to gain 4lbs. Official weigh in today shows I’ve lost 3 of them so, I have a gain of 1lb this week. Not to shabby after all the real ale and pub food.
Less than 6 weeks til I’m off again so I really need to knuckle down to give myself a bit of wriggle room.
Eating frozen left overs tonight (bbq chicken and rice for me) benefit being that they are Sw recipes with minimum syns.
Im going to meal plan tonight and then will do a shop after work tomorrow. Think I’ll try to up the protein a bit over the next couple of weeks as I think my carb heavy 3 meals a day might be what slows my weight loss - worth a try.
So, I’ve 4lb to get to top of target range but would really like to hit the middle. 5 weigh ins to go so I should defo make it if I try my hardest.
@Coxy11 the peanut butter pasta sounds right up my street, where is the recipe from please?
Right, got to fly, microwave just pinged and I could eat a scabby donkey.

Morning all, it's grey and miserable here today and we had rain overnight but at least it's not raining at the moment.  We have a yellow weather warning for more rain until Midnight tonight but looking at the forecast it's more to the West of us that's getting the heavy stuff!

You've done well @Matron_Midge to only gain 4lb and then to shift 3lb of it already!  You'll soon shift that other lb.

I weighed myself this morning and it was STS so still 0.5lb above top end of target - hopefully I can shift that before we go on holiday next Friday morning (we're staying at DD1s Thursday night so I'll be weighing Thursday am again this week).  To be honest with alcohol and eating out over the weekend I'm pleasantly surprised with STS!

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette
L - baked sweet potato, beans, salad
D - fish and pasta bake, salad

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - none planned
Syns - cheese sauce mix 4; may also have a lolly for 6 (will be the last one though as there's only 2 left and DH will want one as well!)

I'm trying to empty the 2nd freezer so I can turn it off.  There's not much in it at the moment and it's mainly white rolls so if DH hasn't eaten them by next Wednesday they can go in the bin!  I'm not leaving the freezer on for a few white rolls - waste of electric as far as I'm concerned!

    Have a good day everyone.

Well done on moving the holiday gain already @Matron_Midge. Plus you’ll lose a few more before you go away again 😁

    STS is good @joedenise 🥳

I’m exhausted! Helped DS2 clean his car (it. Was. Manky 😠😠) then carried on and did mine (which was much cleaner so didn’t take as long). Cleaned the front windows while a load of towels are swishing around. The sun’s come out and it’s warmed up, hoping it stays that way until they dry.

Had a bacon roll for breakfast, just about to have some fruit and yoghurt as not really hungry and steak, chips and roasted veg for dinner.  Feel a bit thinner so fingers crossed for WI tomorrow.
