Well done on completing the latest stretch of your walk @Coxy11. Not that much further to go compared with what you've done so far. 👍🏼 Perhaps two more hikes?🤔

    Hope you're feeling a bit better @beanielou.🤗

We've had a little bit of rain but it's still very muggy.

It's a very noisy and messy day here. The builders have been knocking through, making a doorway from the cloakroom into the kitchen as that's what will become the larder. They've also got to knock a new window opening from the driveway into the kitchen this week. We're coping! 😊

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
    L- cold meat (P), LO veg (F,S), pickles (S)
    D- sausage casserole (P,F,S), penne (F)
    Syns- Aldi sausages 1

Afternoon all, we're back from our long weekend away.  It was a good weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed getting away for a few days and meeting up with friends we haven't seen for a while.

Been on plan most of the time apart from Friday whenI probably had double the day's syns but will try to rein it back in this week.

Well done @Coxy11 on this section of your walk - you are definitely fitter than me, no way could I be walking those sort of milages so well done you and your sister.  Any news on the house front?

    Hope you're feeling better @beanielou.

Well done on your losses @bubbs and @Jellybaby.

Sounds like the building works are coming along well @maman.  You'll soon have that walk in larder!  Absolutely love mine!

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette
    L - tuna mayo & cucumber sandwich
D - sausage and bean casserole, new potatoes (very little sausage in it - lucky if there's 2 small bits each!)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; sausage 0.5? lolly 6

Got some good weather here this afternoon as managed to get the first load of washing done and on the line.  Will do another load tomorrow.  Hoping to get the bedding and mats from the motorhome done later in the week so that I can give the motorhome a good clean before we go on holiday - can't believe it's less than 2 weeks now.  The time has just sped by this year!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hello everyone, longer absence than I intended, loads of stuff has been robbing my time lol. I'm hanging onto 9st 11 but trying to get back in the zone. As we approach a new season I'm looking to make some new to me recipes, I've got some pinch of nom cookbooks and then there's their website, just wondering if anyone can advise how I'd syn the recipes? The zinger fakeaway looks good and might be on my list.
Hope you are all well, sorry I've not caught up on posts.
Hope to be here more frequently in-between all the workmen coming and going 🙏 x

Still in target @beanielou so that's some positive news. 👍 Hope you soon start to feel better.

Pinch of Nom recipes are SW friendly @Mrbowie but they aren't allowed to say that any longer although they used to IIRC. It's easy to syn them. All you need to do is look at the ingredients and see what has a syn value such as cornflour or cheese (unless using as a HEA). If you're not sure then post the recipe ingredients and we'll advise.

Glad you had a good weekend @joedenise. Good luck with reining back, you can do it!! 😊

I just checked out the KFC zinger recipe @Mrbowie and it would be 7.5 syns for the Doritos and 0.33 syns 😁 for the cornflour.
But lots of us on here make fake KFC and I followed @joedenise'suggestion to use dry couscous for the crunchy coating and it's syn free.

Morning all, not looking particularly nice weatherwise, very cloudy but there must be a bit of sun coming from somewhere as the solar panels are flashing to say it's collecting some energy!  Not much though as the washing machine is on and the IHD is showing amber which means it's using some power!

Need to do some shopping this morning as didn't get much before going away other than what we needed for the weekend.  Also need to pop to the 02 shop to try and sort out the c*ck up with our mobile phone contracts.  We changed it over a month ago but it's still taken the old amount and not the new amount so a few pounds more than it should have been.

    Today's plan:

    B - weetabix, milk, fruit
L - prawn and crab stick salad
D - pork steak, air fried new potatoes, veg

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - none planned

I've got out some chopped chicken breast to make jerk chicken tomorrow but before I can marinade them I need to make up some jerk seasoning.  Just need to find my recipe for it now!

    Have a good day everyone.

Edit:  found recipe and have got the chicken in to marinade ready to cook tomorrow.

@maman ooh thanks, that's a good saving on syns, @joedenise do you have the recipe please?
Also do any of you have any baked oats recipes? I'm trying to mix my meals up a bit. Thanks 😊

@Mrbowie - there's not really a recipe as such!  I'll just say how I do it but not measurements as it's just a shake of this and that depending on what I grab!

I use chicken thighs and cut into pieces but you can use breast if you prefer or you can use chicken thighs whole but we prefer the smaller pieces.

Take 2 dishes and add a beaten egg into the first one and then just tip some couscous into the other one.  Add some mustard powder, some smoked paprika, pinch of chilli flakes, may some dried thyme, oregano and parsley but really you can add whatever you like or whatever is to hand to the couscous and mix up a bit.

    Dip the chicken pieces
into the beaten egg and then into the couscous mix and place onto a baking sheet previously sprayed with 1 cal oil.  Complete with rest of the pieces until they're all done.  Spray again and then bake in the lower half of the oven at about 190C;  cook a tray of chips on the upper shelf turning round regularly until cooked.  I usually cook for about 35 minutes.

    Hope you enjoy.

For baked oats recipes I suggest you have a look at the SlimmingEats website - she's got loads of different recipes posted including one for Pina colada!  I haven't tried that one yet but may well get round to it at some stage but don't tend to have baked oat much as DH isn't keen on them but once winter is here then I'm going to start making them again and he can just like it or lump it!  There's always toast or cereal if he doesn't want them!

Hello all, still plodding along (literally) bone is repairing and x-rays look good, 6 weeks before next check-up.  Pain fairly well managed.

Not been on plan a lot, but appetite not good because of the opiates, was losing weight constantly last couple of weeks, but seem stable now just nearly in bottom of range.

Good news for all those doing well and congratulations @Coxy11 on the last part of your walk.

Take care all, catch up again in a few days.
