Good to see you posting @maddiemay. Sorry to hear that you're still struggling a bit but good news that one plus is that you're still in target. Hope your recovery continues at a pace. 🤗

The Pinch of Nom zinger burger recipe would work well if you want quantities @Mrbowie, just substitute the couscous (I use about 7 good dessertspoons of couscous for two people) for the Doritos and ignore the cornflour. I use chicken thighs because I find them tastier than breast. I leave them whole but you can cut them in pieces like @joedenise does if you want it more like real KFC. No idea why PoN says to sprinkle the crumb mixture onto the chicken. It works so much better of you dip it and roll it to make sure the couscous sticks well.

It's been trying to rain here @joedenise, definitely dampness in the air but still warm. I did get out for a walk this morning and the new term starts for my dance classes tonight so plenty of Body Magic.👍🏼

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- tuna pasta salad (P,F,S)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), carrot chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
    Syns-0

Weather completely changed this afternoon so I ended up putting the washing on the line for a couple of hours and got it all dried.  As it's still sunny I've got another load in the machine which I'll hopefully be able to hang out tomorrow!

    Enjoy your dancing tonight @maman.

  • A very very quick post to prove Im still alive and still battering on

WB Sue, Ive been keeping up with your happenings on the other place

Guys, I will catch uo as soon as I can

Myself, Ive had a long period of illness, family staying, HUGE number birthday, and just basically been off plan for maybe 5 weeks - enough that my consultant has been texting lol

Atm its been about surviving the day let alone anything else and Ive only jumped on the scales once - scary - but I have set getting to group next week. Over, under, whatever it is, Im going to weigh in NEXT Saturday , the longest Ive gone.

As I say, health hit the floor, just even being able to eat is a rare thing, but when I dont eat, i dont loose so who knows whats happening . Ive a good few appointments coming up and I know those days are by the by but hey ho, poo happens .

    But Im still committed

Morning all, a bit grey again but I did the 2nd load of washing yesterday afternoon so I'll get that out on the line shortly and hope that it doesn't rain!

Good to hear from you @weekendsaway but sorry to hear you've been unwell.  I don't lose when I don't eat either and that includes not having enough syns!  I need to have the full 105 a week in order to lose.  Good luck with your WI on Saturday - you might surprise yourself and still be in target.

Hope all your appointments go well.  Why are they nearly always at awkward times?   Or is that just me and DH?  Invariably either the appointment or the travelling time will be a time when we'd usually be eating so we've either got to eat very early or very late or not at all and it doesn't really help.

Hope you enjoy the couscous coating on the Fakeaway KFC @Mrbowie - DH and I prefer it to breadcrumbs or the herby instant potato powder we used to use before.  Hope you can fsind some baked oats recipes that you like the look of of try on the SlimmingEats website - just bear in mind that some of them you will be a few syns if you cook the fruit.

    Today's plan:

B - Scrambled eggs and spinach on toast
L - stuffed courgettes (any extra mince mixture will be served on the side)
    D - jerk chicken, rice 'n' peas

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 50ml light coconut milk 2

    Have a good day everyone.

2lb loss this week for me, middle son had a very small cheeky gain but he is trying to tell me he lost (he forgets that I write everything down, his and mine on both my phone and my laptop spreadsheet). In his defence, he does have very poor short term memory, so he will remember a number except it isn't the right number or it will be a number from yesterday or the day before....or just one plucked from goodness knows where!

I've not burst his bubble as I don't want to bash his confidence and he will get back on track with some gentle direction. I do think thought that is why going to group worked for him, he had it written down in his book, he had to be accountable and strict with himself because other people were doing the weighing. However, he won't go back, that disastrous new leader we had come in earlier in the year really did have a negative impact on him and made him feel really bad about himself.

Got physio today, absolutely dreading it after last year. It was mid physio session last year that I suffered a major stroke mimic due to my brain disorder and from which I have just about mostly regained function. It is needed, I had a fall at the end of June and damaged my shoulder which means I can't even make the small adjustments with my wheelchair (I can't self propel but I had been able to reposition the chair  in small ways if needed) and so have lost the last remaining bit of independence I had.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Morning all,

Apologies not had a chance to post this week, RL getting in the way. But, I have stuck to plan 🎉 I feel totally focussed so far, just hope it lasts!

Have only read the last few posts - well done on the loss @SingleSue and hope your appointments go well. Same for you @weekendsaway, hope all goes well and I’m another that doesn’t lose if I don’t eat or cut syns.   Hope everyone else is well!

An estate agent is coming out this afternoon to view my house and give me a clearer idea of figures and help make the decision whether to move or not.  First though Pilates class and a quick coffee after with a friend.

Ive just slung Boston baked beans (Slimming Foodie recipe) in the slow cooker for tonight’s dinner along with pork medallions and green veg.

    Have a good day all.

Well done on your loss @SingleSue.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 It's a shame that the new consultant put your DS off going to group but I'm sure you can motivate him to stay on track.

Good to hear from you @weekendsaway but sorry to hear you've been so poorly. You sound very motivated though and I think it's an excellent idea to set a deadline for your WI. Keep in touch. 😊

Are you planning to downsize @Jellybaby or buy a bungalow for future proofing?🤔 Good luck with the Estate Agent, hope you get the answers you want. Do share the Boston baked beans recipe. I used to make this years ago but it had treacle in the recipe and pork belly which wouldn't be SW friendly. 🤣

DH has been lucky lately with appointments @joedenise but I suppose you have to factor in the long journey to get to the hospital which makes it so much more time consuming.

I plan to drop in to the GP surgery (about 300 yards away) tomorrow and check my weight. It will motivate me for the final week before WI. I'll probably keep a food diary too. If I'm in range 🤞🏼 then I won't have to go to WI during the most difficult time coming up when kitchen is completely out of action.

I'm getting fed up with the BBC weather forecast. I put off doing washing last night (no easy access to the machine during the day) as rain was forecast but it hasn't materialised (again). It's saying the same until next Tuesday!!

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), salad (S)
D- corned beef hash (P,F,S), cauli and broccoli (S)
    Syns- corned beef 4

    Hi all,

Well done on your loss @SingleSue. A shame about the consultant but you seem to be doing okay yourselves. Keep posting here!

Good that you’re still in target @maddiemay x

Good to see you posting @weekendsaway x

OOOH exciting on the house front @Jellybaby – do you plan to go far??

We have had our mortgage appointment – just porting a small mortgage to keep a line of credit in case of anything major we decide to do. There was a question over whether the house we are buying is listed – looks like it’s not. Valuation and survey hopefully happening over the next two weeks.

Food-wise I have a food diary going and am being super good. I also haven’t weighed myself since Monday morning (usually hop on the scales every morning). I’m reading the Atomic Habits book at the moment which is putting a very interesting perspective on things. Really recommend it.

Dinner tonight – who knows?? DH seems to want me to decide when I get in from work which I find a bit irksome! Might be salmon or chicken?? I have a WI committee meeting at 7.30pm so hoping it’s something quick!
