Morning all, I hope you got a good nights sleep @Coxy11 and didn’t have any spooky visitors 😱
Torrential rain here during the night. Rain battering the windows about 2am woke me and DS2 who can normally sleep through thunder. Bright with a chilly wind now so have a load of towels on, fingers crossed please! Finally ordered a table from Dunelm - and discovered it was in their sale 😇 still dithering over chairs, or chairs and a bench combo.
Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette with banana, kvarg 0.5, tbsp skinny syrup 0.5
L - tomato and red pepper soup
D - homemade fish cakes with loads of roasted veg
Have a good day everyone!1 -
Morning all, another dry day with a bit of breeze but not as bright as yesterday. Think we must have had a shower overnight as there was a bit of rain on the windows when I got up but must have been light as I didn't hear it and I usually do if the wind blows towards our bedroom window.
I'm going to be using up some stuff from the freezer which isn't very SW friendly this week so not sure whether it's worth posting my menu plans! Don't want to be buying more food to be honest when there is enough in the freezer/fridge/cupboards. Having said that I do need to buy a loaf of bread as only 2 slices left!
Today's plan isn't too bad!
B - bacon sandwich
L - pea and ham soup
D - kebab meat, chips, beans
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; frozen chips 4? kebab meat 4? (not really sure as it is a frozen pack from FarmFoods which DH picked up when we went to Canterbury last weekend!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
You might just as well use up stuff as you're going away @joedenise rather than buying in more. Bread's fine because I'm sure you freeze that anyway.
I keep trying to eat from the freezer and then see something YS that takes me back to where I started. 🤣 It'll be a while before the builders reach the kitchen but my plan is to make sure I'm well stocked up with HM ready meals rather than fresh meat in the freezer.
We've had all weathers this morning @Jellybaby. It's bright now but an hour ago it was pouring with rain and blowing a gale. It's so disappointing because we have beautiful flowering cherry trees in our road and the blossom blows off. It's like pink snow! Hope you're feeling a bit brighter today. 😊
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P), tomatoes (S)
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S), potato? (F)
D- cold chicken (P), SW chips (F), roasted veg and green stuff (S)

I did pop into Morrisons and got a loaf but that's probably all I'm going to buy this week although DH has said he's quite like to try the newish fish stall which is in the Garden Centre in our nearest town so will probably get some fish on Thursday to have that evening. I was going to get some steak out of the freezer but think we'll have that Wednesday instead.
Planning a fish pasta bake for tomorrow night and then Wednesday night I'll make a keema curry which I'll add the LO mushrooms finely chopped so it looks like mince!
Well at least the evening meals will be fairly SW friendly. Will do whatever I can for lunches and breakfasts!
We had absolutely torrential rain and hailstones about 11 o'clock; it had been a bit grey but certainly didn't look like rain and it came down so suddenly! I'm just glad I wasn't out in it!!!0 -
3 1/2 off. Well done @beanielou. 3 1/2lb off is absolutely brilliant - you must be well inside target range now.

That's an amazing loss @beanielou! 👏👏👏 I'd take it gladly even it was a bit of a wobble. 😁0
