Thanks for your Eid wishes folks.

It was an ok day. Had my girls but it was wet and cold so the funfair was a bit meh. Youngest went off with her friends but I gave her limited money. If I had given her loads she would have paid for them all on all the rides and I just can't afford that these days. Met up with them and I had a bag full of snacks and drinks for them so that saved a fair bit.

Ate too much junk so feel a bit bloated today but probably will do the same again today. Back on plan tomorrow but just want to not have to worry about syns for another day!
  • Morning all,

Back to work has been a shock to the system!!
I'm on a dull online course all day so 8 hours sat on my bum.

I do feel I've shrunk today guess that was the bloating from the rubbish I've been eating lately

    Food for today

B: overnight blueberry oats - I got fab container from B&M meant for work but use it at home too.
L: undecided but as its cold likely soup.
D: Roast chicken, carrots, swede, broccoli and peas. Pots and gravy.

Morning all, it's been another fairly busy one.  Have washed the bedding and got it out on the line, not sure whether it will dry as it is quite overcast and virtually no wind but at least it will be dryer than when it went out!  Also been shopping again - almost run out of diet tonic so wanted to get a couple of packs of those so bought some more fruit as only got half box of grapes left.

I'm with you on the junk food recently but got back on plan when we got back from our long weekend away so definitely feeling a bit better in that regard.

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk
L - LO French Onion soup
    D - mushroom stroganoff, rice

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - 50:50 milk/Primula Light
    HEB - Weetabix
Syns - no planned but no doubt will have something later

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi all, I went out early this morning to get a few last minute things for DS1’s birthday and only just back! Where does the time go - and I didn’t meet anyone so no gabbing involved 😜

Out for a curry tonight so only had some lentil soup and fruit so far. Will eat what I fancy later and hopefully be OK as I’ve plenty syns in hand.

Enjoy your curry this evening @Jellybaby. It's amazing how days disappear when you aren't working. 😊

Sounds incredibly boring stuck online all day @annabanana82. How long does this course last? 🤔 Your menu looks great, you're really back into this. 👍

We haven't had mushroom stroganoff for ages @joedenise. Which recipe do you use? We used to have a local pub that made a delicious one but the ownership changed and it disappeared off the menu.

We went for a massive walk this morning and then a friend and DD1 came round this afternoon. I'm really tired now and looking forward to a quiet evening, first I've had this week. 😴

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F), pickles (S)
    D- chicken jambalaya (P, S, F)
    Syns - 0

    Evening all from Worcester!

Well we’ve battled the weekend winds and torrential rain yesterday and have been tooted many times today on our 17 mile trek from
Bewdley. Have met a lot of friendly folk who have donated and followed us on FB. Trying to eat a proper meal at lunchtime - today was lamb kofte with rice and salad at a pub. Didn’t need dinner tonight. Step count around 40k per day.

Hoping to get to (almost) Bristol by Monday.

Have skim read. Well done to all the losers and those still in target. I’m dubious that I will be - despite the step count - but time will tell. Have had a reminder from SW as haven’t weighed in for 4 weeks now. Can you believe my group had 78 through the door on Saturday including 11 newbies and my pay mate was flying solo oooops!

Good to hear from you @Coxy11. You're doing brilliantly and deserve all the support and good wishes. 👍 Truly amazing step count.

SW always send reminders after 4 weeks although you don't have to go to WI until 8 weeks. 🤔
  • @maman it's a 7 hour course, 1 more session to go... seemed a good idea at the time.

I do feel better for it, I think I need to up my water intake as I'm rubbish at drinking enough

Morning all, looking to be a lovely start to the day, long may it continue.  We've got no rain forecast until about Tuesday so should be nice all weekend.  If we hadn't been going away next week we'd probably just pack the van and go away again for a few days!

@maman - I roughly following the Creamy mushroom stroganoff from the Slimming Eats website although I don't bother weighing the mushrooms just slice and chuck in as many as I think we need!  I use Primula Light to make the sauce rather than cream cheese mainly because I've usually got that in the fridge!  We had it with basmati/wild rice last night as we'd had normal basmati the night before!

@Coxy11 - you're doing really well and 40,000 steps a day is not to be sniffed at!  Don't think I could do that these days.  Your lunch sounded nice.  Not had kofta for ages, another to think about putting on the menu plan at some point!  How much longer do you have on your hike?

Bet you're glad you've only got one more session of the online training @annabanana82, I know I would be!

Have got a few hours on my own this morning as DH is off to golf shortly so hoping to get a bit of crafting done as long as the sun keeps shining - I need good daylight to do it.  I've tried using a daylight bulb in a lamp and an LED lamp but unfortunately it causes too much glare making it difficult to see anything.

    Today's plan:

    B - mushroom omelette
    L - tuna mayo sandwich
    D - Eating Out

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - mayo 0.5; wine syns and whatever is in the dinner ???

We're meeting up with DD1, her partner and his parents for the meal.  It's to celebrate both his parents and our wedding anniversaries - it's a bit later than theirs and a bit earlier than ours.  Theirs was earlier this week and ours is middle of next week.  54 years for them and 53 years for us!

    Have a good day everyone.
