Morning all, it's a bright calm day today - what a difference to yesterday when it was really windy but at least my washing got dry very quickly because of it!  Definitely wasn't nice being out in it though.

You got a great bargain there @bubbs with the strawberries and they look lovely.  Are they sweet or are they just bland as strawberries often are at this time of year?  Shame about your donuts, which yoghurt did you use instead of your normal one?  I've changed the yoghurt we're eating now.  We used to have the Tesco Greek Style natural yoghurt but tried the Lidl one last week as wasn't going to Tesco and we both decided it's actually much nicer than the Tesco one so that's what we have again this week.

Hope your injection goes well @beanielou, it can make such a difference to pain levels if it works for you.  DH had an injection in his knee but unfortunately it didn't work for him so not had another.

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs, spinach, on toast
L - HM onion soup (going to try the PON recipes which uses a pressure cooker so much quicker to cook!)
D - spicy chicken and rice traybake

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 1.5; sesame oil 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, another wet day here. I’ve an appointment shortly in the next town then home to potter about. After the hustle and bustle of the last few months I’m quite excited to have this week a lot quieter!

Will need to buy some fruit for breakfast on way home. I could do with some of your 20p strawberries @bubbs they look amazing. Also makes you aware of the markup supermarkets have.

    Food today:
B - fruit and l/f Greek yoghurt, skinny syrup 0.5 syns
L - soft pitta HEXB, smoked ham, spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, gerkhins
D - pork fillet, roast potatoes, roasted broccoli, carrots, onions and tomatoes

    Have a good day everyone!

Just realised it's Wednesday so WI day!  Didn't put on quite as much as I thought at the weekend but still put on about 1.5lb so I now need to lose 2.5lb just to get back to top end of target!  It's definitely getting harder to lose the older I get!

Thanks Denise. Will hopefully work. Sometimes they work better than others & for me it depends how much I fall on it too.

Tesco strawberries were advertised in the paper this morning, though not at 20p!🤣 They were price matched to Aldi and had a brand name like Rosedene. That sounds like an English farm name but surely they can't be local so early?? 🤔

Shame about the gain @joedenise. SW feels like snakes and ladders sometimes. 😁 At least it's only a few of pounds back to target range so could be worse.

We had a meeting with our architect and builder today and the news is they can't start for 3 weeks. Part of me is relieved but.... It is what it is.

    Today's plan -
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, bacon, egg (P), baked beans (F)
    L- JP (F), tuna mayo (P), salad (S)
    D- corned beef hash (F, S, P), cauliflower and broccoli (S)
Syns - LTL mayo 1, can't remember the syns for corned beef 🤔
