Morning, our meal last night was delicious but temptation did get in the way and a few glasses of wine and a small slice of lemon tart were consumed too.

Taking mum to doctor’s appointment shortly and will get her shopping while we’re out. Oh my you’d think the heavens were going to fall in getting her to shop today rather than her usual Saturday. Talk about routine!

I’ve had coffee and a banana, not hungry enough for breakfast, likely to have a salad roll at mums and dinner is chicken salad with SW chips.

Have a lovely anniversary dinner @joedenise.  The country’s rain is currently over my house @Coxy11 so you should stay dry today😀

    Have a good day everyone.

That's really good news about your mum @bubbs. 👍

I expect you'll get to have kofte when you're in Turkey @joedenise, either as a kebab or meatballs. Congratulations to you both on your anniversary when it comes. We've still got a few years to catch you up. 😁

Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself last night @Jellybaby but it's only one meal so just jump back on the horse.

I did my meal plan and shopping today. One meal out on Wednesday but otherwise I should be able to stick to the plan. 🤞

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, berries (S), banana (F)
    L- Spanish omelette (P, S, F) and pickles (S)
D- gammon steak (P), SW chips (F), mushroom, tomatoes, green stuff (S)
    Syns - weekend wine 😁

We've not long been home!  Was a really nice meal but was shocked to find that they the whole of our DD1's partner's family had also been invited!!!! There were 18 people when we'd only expected to be us plus 4 others so I felt a bit uncomfortable!  Amazing what a glass or two will make!

I chose sensibly as far as the menu would allow - started with a Mediterranean mezze followed by a beef in red wine with new potatoes and veg which was really nice,  Think we may be using this restaurant again when we want a decent meal out rather than a cheapo like Spoons!

Glad you enjoyed it @joedenise and you made really good choices. 👍 It sounds like a full on celebration rather than a quiet family meal though. Glad the 🍷 helped you through. 🤣

Morning all, your meal sounds delicious @joedenise and wine helps everything 😁

Great your mum can move better @bubbs I took mine to have her ears syringed and she’s back to hearing like a hawk 🤣🤣

Just back from group and 1.5 off. Glad it’s off but still half a pound into the next stone so that’s this week’s mission!

Going to have bran flakes and l/f Greek yoghurt with berries for breakfast. Meeting a friend for lunch and it will be a pasta dish which will involve a bit of oil in the sauce no doubt but I’m driving so no alcohol to worry about. Dinner will be an omelette if I’m hungry.

Morning all, popped to Lidl this morning for a few bits we need for this week's meals.  DH also treated himself to some of the Belgian beer they have on offer at the moment which he likes.  Had also spent enough to get a free bakery item so DH got his favourite sourdough loaf which he's sliced and frozen as it doesn't last as well as the usual sliced bread we buy.  He can then just get out what he wants.

Also needed to put some petrol in my car.  DH needs diesel in his car as that's the one we'll be using to get to the airport at the end of the week so he'll top that up on Tuesday when we take my friend to the Hospital - the fuel near the hospital is also much cheaper than locally so that's a bonus!  We'll also pop into Dobbies for this month's free hot drink.  DH usually has the luxury chocolate and I have tea.

Well done on your loss @Jellybaby.  You'll easily lose that half this week to get into the lower front number.

Pity that @Jellybaby passed her loss onto you @bubbs, LOL!!!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up
L - jacket potato, tuna mayo
    D - corned beef hash

    HEA - milk
HEB - none planned but may have a cereal bar or 2 this evening if I want something
    Syns - sausages 2; LTL mayo 1; corned beef 4; horseradish 1

    Have a good day everyone.
