Morning all, didn’t get a chance to post yesterday, no idea where the day went!

Well done on the loss Beanie. Your building work is coming along @maman I’m particularly excited about the walk in pantry 😁 re the new sports gear, it’s only replacements as the old stuff is looking a bit tatty.

    Hope you’re recovering well @maddiemay 🥰

I’m with your OH @Coxy11 🤣.  Welcome back @Matron_Midge, not long until you’re off again. I’ve grounded myself for the next few months!

    Today’s food:
B - sweet omelette, banana, berries, Kvarg 0.5, Skinny syrup 0.5
L - chilli, toasted soft pitta HEXB, salad
D - mince loaded with carrot and onion, potatoes, broccoli

My dad gave me a carrier bag of mixed tomatoes yesterday so that’s today’s job, turning them into pasta sauce for the freezer.

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, been a busy one this morning as our kitchen tap has been leaking and DH is fed up trying to sort it out so we've been hunting for a new tap!  He ordered one from Amazon which arrived last night but unfortunately the base is too small so that has to go back but couldn't send it as the PO systems were down this morning so that will be another trip tomorrow as I'm not going back out!

Got a tap from Toolstation in the end but when it came to fitting it there was a part which wouldn't come off the old taps so DH has had to go out and buy that from a plumbers!  He's just got to finish fitting it now and then at least the kitchen sink will be back in use!

Also did some shopping while we were out so that's us sorted for a few days!  Will need to go again on Thursday as we're going away in the motorhome for the weekend and will need to buy some stuff for that which I didn't want to get today.

Well done @beanielou on your lb loss.  It's always good when the weight comes off.

Sounds like you're going to be busy today making the pasta sauce with all those tomatoes @jellybaby!  I'm getting some tomatoes from my cherry tomato plant but not masses at a time thankfully - they seem to be ripening gradually which is good as I don't really want to end up having to make pasta sauce with them - all that fiddly prep!

I've also got a beef tomato which has quite a few tomatoes on it and still a lot of flowers but none are showing any sign of ripening yet but they'll be the ones I'd like to make some pasta sauce with!

    Today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions (think they must be the smallest silverskins I've ever seen!)
    L - sweet chilli noodles
    D - minced beef hotpot

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - sweet chilli sauce 3

    Have a good day everyone.

PS. The new tap is fitted so now have water in the kitchen!

Well done on your loss @beanielou. 👏👏👏 You're always fine once you put your mind to it. 👍

I remember that saying 'real men don't eat quiche' @Coxy11. Your DH is in good company. 🤣

More brilliant bargains @bubbs. I've not been to the Company Shop for ages. I'm trying not to bring anything more into the house except for essentials at the moment.

The plan is for the builders to plaster the larder and put the doors on and then DH is going to do the shelving when I've decided how I want it @Jellybaby. I'm looking forward to it too but also having a much bigger fridge than the current one. 👍

That was a lot of messing around over the tap @joedenise. Glad it's finally sorted. We'll soon be having to fetch water from the bathroom!😉

I was much more organised today. We've moved the fridge out of the kitchen and so lunch was accessible.

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA milk for drinks
    L- LO veg, ham and pickles (P, S, F)
D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), lots of veg (S)
    Syns - 0

    Have you missed me?

Things went ever so slightly mental in my life this year, from battling pneumonia, to moving house to an accessible bungalow, to completing my first year of uni study (via OU) and all the while dealing with my disabilities, awaiting surgery to remove my gallbladder and having frequent cholecystitis attacks.

Anyway, in a nut shell....I passed the first year of study, the move went well albeit with an awful lot of stress, the pneumonia finally settled but took nigh on 6 months and copious amounts of steroids and antibiotics and I am still waiting for surgery. Oh and I had a bad fall and completely beggered my shoulder up about 7 weeks ago.

I think I said the last time I posted that we had left SW due to the new consultant, we've not gone back however we are still following our own diet at home and I am still making progress. It did slow down a fair bit with all the steroids (oh the frustration of sts or quarter or half pound losses) and there was a point where I had a small increase when we were moving as we were without cooking or fridge options when going between the two properties but I am lighter than this time last year and less than what I was when we left SW.

Moving was not fun, we had to redecorate the old house from top to bottom before handing it back to the housing association. They wanted it 'back' to neutral colours, it had never been neutral colours even when first built and certainly was not when we moved in with a bright pink main bedroom, lurid green hallway, orange kitchen etc.

It was soul destroying doing my front room, we had spent so much time and effort redecorating that a couple of years ago and it looked amazing but because it was cream (with a red feature chimney breast), we had to repaint the whole thing. We did ask if we could just paint the chimney breast but no, it had to be either brilliant white or magnolia, cream was not allowed.

The move completely destroyed my health for months, my neuro condition flared horribly but although it didn't seem like it at the time, it has been completely and absolutely worth it.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Morning all, weather not so nice this morning but it stays this way I may actually get some use out of the free hour of electric at lunchtime!  We don't usually because we have solar panels so don't really use much if any paid for electric at that time!

Welcome back @SingleSue.  It sounds as though you've been through the mill a bit over the last few months.  I really don't understand the HA saying everything has to be handed back in neutral colours - not sure what they could have done if you hadn't repainted it!  After all there's no big deposit to come back like in private rented accommodation.

I know it's frustrating only losing small amounts or STS all the time but it's how I got to target so it does eventually get you where you want to be but well done on weighing less than you did this time last year without going to SW.  It's not the easiest thing to go it alone - I know because I'm doing it too!

I'm sure living in a bungalow is much easier for you than living in a house.  We moved into our bungalow 24 years ago now and don't regret it.  The only downside was that I had a very long commute to work for 10 years before retiring.

@maman - Your pantry will be great - I absolutely love mine although the builder did the shelves they are adjustable and we actually only moved one and that was one of the higher ones so we could get bigger boxes of cereal onto it - there was only enough room to stand them on their side until DH lowered it!  It's actually made the kitchen look much bigger because it holds so much I haven't got any wall cupboards!

I'm sure you'll love your extension once it's built and all the hassle is done and dusted!  It was a good idea to move the fridge out of the kitchen so that you could easily get to it and be able to eat a bit better!

Some great bargains again @bubbs at the Company Shop, well done.  Don't suppose you'll be picking much up next week if your freezer is already rammed unless you can get some tinned stuff to go in the cupboards!

    Today's plan:

    B - kedgeree
L - HM doner kebab, salad in soft pitta
    D - prawn curry, rice

    HEA - milk
    HEB - soft pitta
    Syns - mango chutney 3?

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

Good to see you @SingleSue wow you’ve been busy. I’m glad you’re now in the bungalow and congrats on the first year of OU study – no mean feat. Keep posting and as @joedenise says, all those small losses do add up.

I went to WI last night – was our Summer Celebration – and we were promised a harpist, prosecco and scones. Unfortunately the harpist had Covid so was subbed for a singer who was brilliant. She had a great voice and got us all up dancing. Was such a funny evening. I had one plain scone, a scraping of clotted cream, 2 tsp of jam and a small glass of Nosecco as I was driving. I’m doing a food diary so Monday was 2.5, yesterday was 26.5 and today will be 16. Thinking of max 60 by the time I go away on Friday morning.

    I am running home later.

Those were great bargains @bubbs. Love the sound of the sausages mmmmmm.

The pantry sounds great @maman, you will be so pleased once it’s all finished.

    Food today:

B – fruit and fibre, blueberries, FF vanilla yog – HEB, S, 0.5

    L – orzo, red pepper, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, red wine vinegar, chedda 20g – F, S, 2, HEA

D – pork and apple burgers, brioche bun, 100g oven chips – 13.5

    HEA – milk

    Have a good day all

    Coxy
