Very relieved to STS yesterday morning!
So this week looks quieter on the social front .
started again with 105 syn bank
    can anyone help

how many syns are Warburtons thin seeded bagels please ? It says 21 seeds ( presume that means varieties not number !) and high protein .

I made a crust less quiche from a pinch of nom recipe it’s really good ,realise it has syns as I used proper cheese but it’s v filling so across 4 portions works out as 7 syns per portion or 1 HEA and 2 syns I think so not too bad .

you all seem so organised ,it puts me to shame but I can see that makes things work better!

    Hi all,

Sorry for lack of posting but life has been a bit busy here!

DH had a Teams interview last week and they want to see him in person in Guildford on Wednesday. This is for a one year fixed term contract. It's the first interview since he was let go in March, so all a bit nerve-racking.
We have had an offer on our house - FTB who has cash(!!!!) and we've had an offer accepted on a house near Faversham. They are moving to an empty bungalow, so a very short chain. We have a mountain of paperwork to do for the solicitor and might even be in for Christmas if the starts align.

My work continues to challenge - not in terms of workload as I have barely anything to do, but in terms of politics and general culture. Won't be sad to leave. I will be looking for a part time role once we move. If DH doesn't get this new role it's not a disaster as we will be downsizing/releasing equity.

In terms of SW(!) I've been off plan for some weeks - have been doing Pay but not weighing and now in danger of having to rejoin/losing the app access. I seriously need to get a grip but head is all over the place. Currently 5lb outside of target range  :'(

We are going to a NT place today then on to the airport to collect DD who has just been on a solo trip to Greece. The less said about her message "today I'm going to walk over the mountain pass to the next village but have no data so will message when I get wifi later...." the better!!

    Hope everyone is going okay?
@bubbs - hope DH gets more clarity on the redundancy x
Will read back to catch everyone's news.

Afternoon all, we've come home early unfortunately as DH just wasn't able to sleep in the motorhome and has had a total of about 6 or 7 hours over 2 nights so decided it was pointless staying any longer.  He'll be much more comfortable at home when he can't sleep!

Has anyone any idea how syns a Weatherspoon's Fiesta brunch is?  We went out for breakfast and I fancied that - I'm sure it'll be quite a few syns but it is what it is.  I'll draw the line and I'm back on plan from lunchtime today so just the one meal.  Although saying that I'm definitely needing to use a syn bank this week!

Good to see you posting again and good news on an offer on your house and on having a very short chain - that always makes things easier.  If you're moving to Faversham you won't be that far from me!

Good news for your DH @bubbs but that's a long time to be waiting to leave!  I had exactly the same when I was made redundant.  I found it awful having to work a full 3 months notice (apart from the very last day which was a Monday so I took leave for that!). Couldn't think of anything worse than having to go into work for one day!

    Today's plan:

    B - Fiesta Brunch
L - cheese and tomato sandwich, pickled onions
D - gammon steak, new potatoes, courgettes, green beans

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - LF spread 2; brunch ?

    Have a good day everyone.

Shame you had to cut your weekend short @joedenise but a good night's sleep is so important.

I think the fiesta brunch is a fairly new item so it doesn't appear on the website. It's quite scary reading the syn values of some of the Wetherspoon's meals. Like a breakfast wrap at 39!! I think, if I were you I'd just put it behind you and move on.

Thanks for the catch up on all your news @Coxy11. 🤞🏼 your DH is successful with his interview. I'm not surprised that you're out of target with all that going on. I'm sure you'll get back on plan when you're ready. Going to do the WI (and sticking around on here 😁) is helpful as it means you won't lose touch.

Iceland frozen beef meatballs are 6.5 syns for 100g @TakeItEazy. I can only assume they don't use lean meat and/or there are breadcrumbs added. Perhaps it's worth making a batch for the freezer. I make mine with couscous so they're syn free.

We were out for coffee this morning and were surrounded by cakes of every description but I just stuck with my drink. 😇

I'm going to put some Bolognese in the SC shortly to keep stock of HM ready meals up for when cooking facilities are limited. DH suggested that we have breakfast and lunch at home and then go out every evening. I think that's OTT, both expensive and far too many syns! 😁

    Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks, egg, bacon (P), baked beans (F)
    L- LO chicken casserole (P,F,S)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,F,S)
Syns- Aldi sausages 1, weekend wine😊

    Afternoon all 😁

I lost 0.5 so actually under target now, so happy, lets see if i can stay there! Only 35 came through the doors today, so more than 20 less but i suppose holidays etc.

Denise, he knew it was 3 months, same if he gave his notice in it would have to be 3 months as he is salaried and on the old contract .
Sorry DH couldn't sleep well, he will be glad to be back in your bed!

I am thankful it's cooler today

TIE a maintain is ok 😁

Coxy hope everything goes well for the sale/buying. Fingers crossed for DH

I have had a picky plate with ham, beetroot, tomato and seafood sticks and watermelon
pitta pizza and bns chips for tea
